Hi Jerrylee,

I'm responding because I'm interested to learn what you've discovered during your time in Arequipa, so far, in terms of socializing and making friends. My daughter lives with her Peruvian mom in Arequipa, I visit about twice a year, love Arequipa, and am thinking of retiring there, maybe, but am concerned about feeling isolated. I will be visiting in a couple of weeks. Anyway, I hope things are going well for you, and would be curious to hear how it's going. Thanks,

Tony

Hi. Currently freezing in Cusco. Will be visitng there w/ my Peruvian boyfriend to learn about the Arequipa area, as we will be looking for farmable land in the future and it might be warm enough for me!

I will probably go to Arequipa within 1-3 months and stay for a few days or longer. Would love to meet up with another outsider while I'm there.

Forget my earlier message! I had my city names wrong. I will be visiting Quillabamba, not Arequipa.

okaaaaaaaaaaaaay.........

Quillabamba is in the same area as where you are [ that is IF your in Cusco and that your really Sure - your in Cusco..... LoL ! ],,,,,,so,,,, your gonna still freeze .............
next........... you really only have to pass a border and return,, you can stay only for the time to have your passport stamped and return / when completed - you have 90 more days......
From what I have heard it is not so bad if you miss the 90 day deadline / there is a per diem penalty.......
Look around for info about the Carnet de Extranjeria,, for a more permanent solution to residency.....
pistachio..... Trujillo,,,,

Hi, I am here for six more weeks, until December 13th. I am a Canadian woman in her 40's. Love to get together for coffee. e-mail is probably the best way to get in touch.
