Right now for Northern Peru in the Trujillo, La Libertad area I would say........ Huanchaco.... it the best.....
I have been to more out of the way beaches about 50 km to the north and south of Trujillo....
They are pretty much,, beach and that is it.
but in Huanchaco there are Lot and lots and lots of restaurants just across the street from the beach,,,, there are vendors,, there is the Pier and some street events and of course the Reed boats used today and by previous cultures of the Peruvian sea dwellers..... Huanchaco... a little touristy but in the nicest ways........and,, only about 20 -30 minutes drive from Trujillo...... Viva El Peru !
