I would like to invite you to join the worldwide interview-study called “Global Standards – Local Twists” as interviewee. Within the research project “SmartGlobalizing”, members of the University of Lueneburg currently are conducting interviews in more than 20 countries on all five continents.
With the mentioned interviews, we intend to clarify the impact of cultural factors in international business settings. Conflicts in intercultural business-settings often result from culturally triggered misunderstandings, caused by differing communication styles and varying quality-, hierarchy- or leadership concepts. Therefore we are collecting a wide number of case examples that illustrate intercultural challenges in global work environments. With the term Local Twists, we refer to distinctive (cultural) features of certain countries that have to be addressed in international business processes to avoid conflicts and misunderstandings while dealing with people from the respective country.
Due to your knowledge of the Peruvian/ German business environment, we would like to win you over for an interview of around 45 minutes length. In return for your participation, you will receive a detailed project-brochure including all relevant results, once the study is completed. Up to this date a wide number of interesting representatives from industry and science joined the project. Thus participating in this research-project will surely provide some rewarding insights to you.

Ich möchte Sie einladen als Interviewpartner an der weltweiten Interviewstudie „Global Standards - Local Twists“ teilzunehmen, die derzeit im Rahmen des Forschungsprojekts „SmartGlobalizing“ von Mitgliedern der Universität Lüneburg in über 20 Ländern auf allen fünf Kontinenten durchgeführt wird.
Ziel der Interviewstudie ist es, eine möglichst große Zahl konkreter Fallbeispiele zu erheben, in denen der Einfluss kultureller Faktoren auf den Geschäftserfolg im internationalen Business deutlich wird, denn Konflikte in interkulturellen Business-Settings sind häufig das Resultat von Missverständnissen, ausgelöst durch kulturell unterschiedlich geprägtes Kommunikationsverhalten. Als Local Twists bezeichnen wir dabei nationale (kulturelle) Charakteristika, die im grenzüberschreitenden Management und bei der Gestaltung von globalen Geschäftsprozessen beachtet werden sollten, um interkulturelle Missverständnisse und Konflikte zu vermeiden.
Aufgrund Ihrer einschlägigen Erfahrung im peruanischen Geschäftsumfeld, möchten wir Sie gerne als Interviewpartner für ein ca. 45-minütiges Interview gewinnen. Nach Beendigung des Projekts erhalten Sie dann eine ausführliche Projektbroschüre inklusive aller Forschungsergebnisse. Da wir schon jetzt sehr viele interessante Partner aus Wissenschaft und Wirtschaft gewinnen konnten, bin ich sicher, dass eine Teilnahme auch für Sie lohnend sein wird.
