LOL! I just read somehwere that those criminals who own and operate MP (and the towns nearby, and the 'tourist' trains) are charging nearly $400 to visit MP? (Or was it just the train that cost $375 USD?!!?) Have they turned the ruins into a golf course or something?! (With ziplines to the peak-top green...) Seriously, what's it costing to get there from Cuzco and get in?

There are different levels of service. Bear in mind there are many Peruvians without affluence of any sort who make this trip.
Probably best if you find a tour to make the trip. Tour guides give you greater understanding, history and insight.
Peru is an excellent choice for expatriation.
