In Need of Immigration Advice

Hi All,

I was just wondering if someone could elp or advise on the below

My boyfriend of 5 years came over from the Philippines to the UK when he was 12 years old on his mother's working visa back in 2003. When he was 18, as he hadn't been here for more than 10 years, his mother was due to renew his visa, but a few things prevented that from happening. His passport had been misplaced in the house they used to live in & finances made the renewal difficult etc.

When he turned 21, I met him and he told me everything, we began a legal process and after 3 years of appealing the verdict, on March 5th 2014, my boyfriend voluntarily departed the UK and returned to the Philippines. We got told by lawyers that because he voluntarily departed, he would only be banned from the UK for one year, and when the year is up he can reapply. My boyfriend, Stephen, got a job and has been employed since May 2014.

The 1 year is almost up! on 5 March it will be one year since he left, and boy has it been a difficult year! My mother, his sister & I desperately want him home permanently and was wondering if anyone knew the best way? Anyone know any lawyers that could assist, or is anyone in this forum a lawyer who could help?

Both of us are too young for marriage, so a fiancee visa is off the cards.
His mother is now British Citizen, as is his sister. Stephen was schooled, brought up & educated in the UK. Having to return to a country he hasn't known since he was 12 years old has been extremely challenging for him, and we are ready to get him home now!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated
