Hi, is there anyone here that has the same situation as me?
I was married to a foreigner here in the Philippines . We got married in Manila 2006. then he divorced me in Canada 2008.
Now I have an American fiancee for 6 years.
We are planning to apply a fiancee visa, is there a possibility that our fiancee visa application will be approved?
I have a divorce decree and a certificate of divorce with me. Is it enough proof that I can get a approval?
By the way already filed a recognition of divorce but still waiting for the final decision.
But we are thinking of we can already start the process for fiancee visa.

If you have your divorce papers in hand, and if i understand your divorced in Canada, I think their is a record on file in Philippine embassy I would take a trip there to see if that so and what is there policy so you will not have a problem down the road..Bob

I would phone the consulate or embassy first to confirm what I am posting below. As everyone knows, there is only annulment in the Philippines. The original Canadian divorce "Decree Final" with the court registry date stamp (colored ink) and I think mine had a file number too, can be sent to the NSO and they will stamp it "annulled" according to my pnay wife who had a pnay friend that got it done that way.

I want to know if there are people here that has same problem as me,
I already filed a recognition of divorce in my city here in the Philippines . But unfortunately still waiting for the decision,
My partner for 6 years a US Citizen, he want us to move to US hopefully January, we are planning to apply for fiancée visa, but we are kind of hisistant. Maybe the US embassy in Manila will not consider my divorce decree paper from Canada,????
