USA VISA CO-SPONSOR

Last year I put in for a Visa for my wife and had to fill out the zillion forms etc., with pictures and bank account information and despite the fact that I have pensions that total more than $6000.00 a month I was told I had to obtain a co-sponsor for her. This was last year. I sent the forms to my son who has problems with such things, he obtained a lawyer to assist with the paperwork and I still don't have a co-sponsor for my wife... all they required was a signature on the form, btw. Anyway, has anyone else had this? I just don't get it? Granted I am 64 yrs old but... Refugees don't need a co-sponsor and various others... Maybe someone knows something about this? Should we reapply? Can we ask for a waiver of for the co-sponsor thing?

With the latest performance in US Airports it will be very difficult now even though the Philippines is not officially on the banned list for Travelling , it almost was as Trumps advisers did not know where the Philippines were in fact one even suggested the Philippines was in the Middle East !!! and was full of Terroists

We are planning to visit relations in the US later this year, assuming we're let in.

Just be very careful and make sure you can actually get into the US before booking a flight

Something is not right. An income of $6,000 a month should qualify. The tress hold is around $1,500 a month minimum.

I agree. I thought that at the time as well. I didn't go to her interview but stayed at the hotel with a backache. Now I wish I had gone to that interview. Now I have questions... Thanks.

You should always attend interviews together. After all, you are a couple and should demonstrate it.
