I have a guitar which is made from Appendix II wood, (East Indian Rosewood)...I bought this back home in 2010 before moving here in 2012. Would I have any issues getting thru Philippine Customs with this? I'll be checking this in whole baggage. We are moving back to the States March 2nd...I also purchased this before the East Indian Rosewood was added to the CITES list....Thanks for any help I cab get...

They will not know what kind of wood it is unless you tell them. Wood type is a low priority with them I'm sure. If asked play dumb! LOL

I really doubt if anyone is knowledgeable enough to bother you departing the Philippines. I'm not sure about when you arrive back in the U.S. I'm in a similar situation. I have a high end custom pool cue made in the U.S. with legally imported Ivory inlays. It's the cue that I regularly use. I'm not sure if it's worth the risk to bring it out of the country with my on my next trip to the Philippines coming up in a few months. The customs in the Philippines I'm not worried about. It's only when I try to return that I'm concerned with.

Ace, when I worked at School cues we would receive paperwork with every tusk from the DNR stating it's origin. Get a hold of the company that made it and ask them for a copy of one of there's.
