HI

I have been living in Asia for 10+ years and the last 1.5 years in The Philippines (Pampanga). I would like to come in contact with people who can tell me more about living in or around Calbayog City. Anyone out there who knows this area and can give me advice.

That's a dangerous area I am sure been kidnappings and beheading from that neck of the woods. Do some thorough research first

Thanks Draks. I was aware of the kidnappings and beheadings but I was under the impression that that was happening in the South part of the Philippines (Mindanao etc.) and not really in Visayas. Can anyone (dis)agree with me on that? Please let me know as I really do like to keep my head.

If I am not mistaken this area has a problem with the Communist Rebels rather than the Muslim Rebels. Incidents are way down but I think I remember one from last year.
