Good day All,
Can someone please give me insight or dependable model or brand of single point water heater?
Also, dont buy a 10kg + Whirlpool washing machine, what a piece of crap!! P45K down the tubes, only lasted us 2 years.

Panasonic or LG front loaders are reliable. Having worked in a Nursing Home in the Uk we used 3 LG heavy duty machines which have a 10 yr guarantee, hope this helps

We don't need a water heater. We bought a simple Sharp washing machine for about 4000Php. I was told by a friend and trusted appliance repairman that this is the best brand in the Phils, parts are easy to find and easy to repair. 2 years and not a problem. It took a while to convince my wife to use it as she has been washing by hand her entire life. Now she uses it for colored clothes but still insists on washing the whites by hand. When we first married she was appalled by my "brown" underwear from the US. She did get it white, really white but it was extra work for her.

We have a LG fuzzy logic top loader that has lasted more than 2 years without a problem. We have a 300L tank on the rooftop and a on-demand pump filling it so we don't have to wait forever because of the water pressure. The clothes dryer is another story. Electrolux POS that cost 45000 and kinda dry's the clothes. What a waste of money that thing was.

Bought a Sharp 8.5 Kg capacity washing machine from Lazada (17,000 Php) two years ago - still running like new. It has an air spin dry feature; just hang your clothes for a few hours & it's dry. Free shipping & COD. The trick is don't let a lot of your household members use or operate your appliances. Usually that's were the problem starts - improper operation of the appliances (TV, stereo, microwave, washing machine, etc....). I think Whirlpool is now made in China and Sharp is mostly made in the Philippines. Sorry, I don't use water heater in my shower - it's usually hot & humid in PI most of the time.

Hate to tell you this but front end load washing machines have and average life span of five years. They say some high high end ones last a bit longer.mwenreplaced one after five years, two people using it. You know you are in teouble when the repairman says chuck it. Top load last a bit longer. We also went through 2 dishwashers in 5 years. All crappy Samsung appliances, the three of them. All these are in Canada. Somit is not only a Philippine problem.

Hate to tell you this but my bendex front loader in the uk is 15 years old and still going strong it's not a high end machine and Becausevof the nature of my work used it everyday. I was a caregiver in a private nursing home so had to wash uniforms everyday ,the LG machines they have here are the same as the ones in the nursing home and have a 10 year Guarantee, and they took a bashing

When in Philippines, the only household appliances to even consider are LG (Chinese made ones are as good as the Korean made ones for less money). I'm on my second LG 6.5 liter washing machine (6 years and counting)and the first one left with the GF or I probably would still be using it. The same holds true for my LG refrigerator. When I first moved to PI I bought a Westinghouse fridge and it died within 6 months.

I have no idea what you are talking about with your water heater question, so have nothing to offer. Did some research & my advice is to look at the various stores and get some brand names. Then ask people their personal experience. Then hook it to the light switch that runs your CR light if that is where you are using it. Also, since your house is probably not properly grounded, install a proper external ground for safety.

I've had 2 LG Fuzzy logic washing machines here and only got the second one because I split with the GF and she kept the first one. I had that one for 5 years and have had the second going on 6 years now.

While teaching in Korea the apartments supplied by the schools always had LG Fuzzy logic machines and I never had a problem in 7 years there. I would probably buy a 7 liter one next time instead of 6.5 because certain blankets are too big for the one I have.

LG Fuzzy Logic auto washing machine top loader been absolutely brilliant. Not as water efficient as front loaders but good machines. For water heaters ace hardware stock them at many different prices. We bought my in-laws a sharp 7.5kg twin tub for 7000 been very good as well.

One bit of advice if you buy a front loader buy one with lower spin speed, 800rpm. The high speed spin wear out the bearings . My brother used to repair washing machines he advised me about spin speeds.

I would never ever buy a twin tub when you can buy a machine that you put stuff in & when it is finished, clothes are ready to hang to dry.

gelynch52ph That's what I bought a top loading, single tub washing machine (Sharp ES-R85GP Automatic Washing Machine 8.5kg.) It has an adjustable spin air dry (30-90 minutes). Just hang the clothes after the wash & within a couple of hours it's dry. Although I still miss the separate clothes dryer in the States were the clothes don't come out wrinkled and all you need to do is either hang them or fold them.

After doing the spin dry, my wife carefully hangs the clothes to dry clothes hangers, this is how she gets out of having to iron our clothes. I see everybody doing this in the Phils.
