China's Threat To America

SurfingCebu, RobertDav, Ladies and Gentlemen - Here is a link to a fascinating interview with an amazing Chinese Billionaire - Guo Wengui.

He gives a very serious warning to America (and the Western World) regarding China's strategy to destroy America and all that she stands for. I feel that this is a very important interview to watch - and decide for yourselves what the future may hold. This is quite serious in my estimation, as even this man has been threatened with assassination.

Another troubling fact about China is that Luc Montagnier
born 18 August 1932) is a French virologist and joint recipient with Françoise Barré-Sinoussi and Harald zur Hausen of the 2008 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for his discovery of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).[4] A long-time researcher at the Pasteur Institute in Paris, he currently works as a full-time professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China. What is China’s biotech warfare capabilities?

If China goes to war with China and her allies, then I guess it will go nuclear in the end. I would think Philippines wi" be one of the first to fall. Can't really understand why China would want to destroy USA, probably the biggest consumer of Chinese goods. Unless they ate responding to trumps declaration of taxing China out of the USA. If it happens then USA and it's Ally's will have a massive fight on it's hands. Good good by any stretch of the imagination. China I think will ally with North Korea, maybe some middle eastern countries who also hate America. WW3? Could be couldn't it?

Also - I don't think it will ever escalate to a Nuclear WW III. WW III maybe - but not Nuclear. What's the point? It's a total Lose-Lose. The Human need for survival is too great. It is so deeply impeded into the Human Psyche by Mother Nature / Evolution (Survival Of The Fittest) or God Almighty (who I believe is in total control) that mankind, who has murdered 100,000,000 last Century alone, just will not go that far. Yes, 1oo Million is unthinkable and unspeakable, but it is a far cry from 1 Billion and we are heading toward 8 Billion now. I think that all the saber rattling as far as Nuclear is concerned is an attempt to intimidate. The Chinese want to win. They want to destroy others - not themselves - which is exactly what will happen with a Nuclear War. It's pure suicide. I don't get the slightest sense that China's Leadership is insane, like Adolph Hitler. They are Wiley, Sly, Cunning. They wanted to slap Kim Jong-un and warned Little Rocket Man last year when he was trying to show that he had big testicles hiding under all that belly fat - and was shooting off missiles. They were none too pleased with him. They are playing the Long Game. It's so much less expensive, no loss of manpower, no blood or very little. They can do what has been the plan for so long when the Russians said back in the 1950s and 1960s - that they would help to corrupt the minds of the youth - and watch America slowly sink into it's own grave. Drugs, Sex, Rock n Roll - and a good University EDUCATION!! Watching the USA today, is there little doubt that they have succeeded to a large degree?

Thanks Dark, very informative but this should be nothing new to the US Government as we have had intel on China for decades,,,,,,but the last administration chose to ignore it.
As I have said previously our biggest threat is China followed closely by Iran.

No secret that Iran and China supply NOKOR, It would not surprise me one bit if the US and Russia become strange bedfellows........something to chew on!!!

This is fascinating, on YouTube 2 months ago. Hong Kong is going under because of the new arrangement with China which affects the 85,000 American Expats living there (largest Expat community in the world) and wealthy Hong Kong elites can be arrested and deported to China by their secret service. The renaissance of Hong Kong economy is over: https://youtu.be/ZBl05xNq_AU
Everyone is getting out selling Hong Kong dollars and buying US, putting their money in US Securities which China is also hedging on. The money is moving to Vancouver and Sydney.

Canada has an estimated 350,000 expats ....most of whom will come to the Vancouver area ( maybe 50-80K to Toronto) in the next 6-25 months if things keep up !

China under XI , has lost all reason and sense of the 'no war and no aggression ' front China use to follow .

In Steve Bannon’s “warning on China”, his recommendation to Trump was to give 72 hour notice to the Chinese to leave or the 7th fleet would take them out. After all they lost in the international court. Being just off Palawan, where Google Earth names them the Palawan Spratly group of islands, they are in Philippine waters. After the recent ramming of a Filipino fishing boat, the Chinese maritime navy, disguised as dredgers (etc.) refused to rescue the Filipino fishermen after their vessel sank. Then with the near miss between the American Destroyer with a Chinese one at high speed, and the insistence by the Chinese that the 7th fleet cannot proceed “locked and loaded” through the sea lanes in the South China Sea, sooner or later it’s going to be showtime. I would vote Trump on just this issue alone. On the West side of Palawan is a brand new deep water port built for the 7th fleet. Duterte has demanded that Xi prosecute the crew who sank the Pinoy fishing vessel and reparations be paid to them. He isn’t going to put up with another ramming. He can’t. Filipino’s want the invading Chinese maritime militia ships to leave their territorial waters, but they won’t. Duterte wants re-election. If the Chinese take another run at the 7th Fleet, it will be ‘game-on’.

Robertdav298

I think that it's no secret who made CHINA the world power they are today, it was the west, pouring billions of dollars into their economy for decades as CHINA bulked up military and intellectually. Now the world has created this FRANKENSTEIN and wonders how do we tame it, kill it, stop it as it grows stronger and stronger. China is indeed a monster and they have the largest population in the world which brings us to Trumps semi-solution he knows that CHINA continuing on its present course CANNOT feed its ever growing population.
He knows like most of us that CHINA must look elsewhere for food and resources to fuel their economy let alone their huge military.
China would welcome war, their top NAVY ADMIRAL was quoted saying "the US is weak, they are fighting amongst themselves, all we would have to do is sink ONE CARRIER and they would crumble".

This is their mindset, this is how they view the US, which I think is a huge mistake. Yes we are divided, that is no secret, it is on the news everyday, yes we have mass shootings, immigration problems our congress is a mess.
But I think CHINA has no idea the might and will of AMERICANS. To underestimate the US is a huge mistake, our history shows that despite all our problems we always rally as AMERICANS it is our DNA.

Gosling / RobertDav - I don't know Duterte's opinion of Trump, but if it's negative, I don't understand it. It is obvious who has got his back and who wants to whip his backside. China is an aggressor and the USA is obviously a protector and the "Stand Between". Who else on this entire Planet is standing up in defense of the RP? Who's 7th Navy are we talking about? Russia's? Sweden's? England's, Australia's? No, as usual - the one country the rest of the F-ing world loves to despise and spit on and blame for all the world's friggin' problems - The USA. Well, my blood is boiling. Yes, I believe we should stand for freedom - and all freedom loving people! And I'm glad that we've got the RP's back! And, YES! We have been very stupid in our greed - to send so much manufacturing and USA Dollars over there, as it weakens our economy while strengthening their's. We will surely pay the price - to some degree. However, China may find out the bitter truth that Japan discovered when they woke up The Sleeping Giant. If we are weakened by our internal dysfunctional bickering, it will immediately vanish at a moment's notice of a true threat. The Pansies and Social Justice Warrior Whiners will run and hide and all the Americans with Brass Balls will stand up and roar! We are locked - We are loaded - and These Colors Don't F-ing Run!!!

Robertdav298 Absolutely right on. One Carrier sunk would unite Americans and that would be China’s worst nightmare. Meanwhile they need a beating economically. The Democrats are sleep walking this issue, and so is the media. I don’t see any alternative but the thin edge of the sword, 72 hr. notice to vacate their Sprately bases. . Maybe if Xi sinks another Filipino fishing boat, Duterte will ask for help.

Ha! I'm so amazed at the ignorance of everyone. What had been planned by commies on both continents was war with Russia, which would have left China picking up the world residue. The NPA is recruiting in the RP Universities, and Duterte has put bullseyes on all of them. Big push is on here now to purge the NPA. Moot - Without a doubt, China's 200,000,000 man army will attempt to invade Israel - and then they and everyone else at Armageddon are gonna have a Meltdown - literally. It doesn't get much more graphic than descriptions of eyeballs melting in people's heads. Sounds pretty "Nuclear" to me. All laid down on papyrus by a Little Old Man abandoned on a Little Old Island over 2,000 years ago. The accuracy is astounding, isn't it? I don't think the time is yet, but it may happen soon. China has it's eyes on oil reserves in the Middle East and also has aligned itself with Iran and The Prince of Persia. Meanwhile, Iran has it's eyes on Israel and it's total annihilation as a people. China and Iran - interesting bedfellows.

darkfader24

After we win, us Pigs here in the Animal Farm will take over and have a really good life ruling over you shlubs - cuz, remember, All of us are Equal, but some of us are more Equal than others!" darkfader24 New People’s Army or NPA is the armed wing of the CPP, communist party of the Philippines. Listen little piggy, you like shooting your mouth off it seems. We’ll stick that metaphor in the place where the sun never shines on you. We’re you looking in a mirror when you said “shrub”? I was wrong about you. You’re stuck in 1984.

Goslig
  9/2/2019 03:40 EST

Expats need to know a little Philippine history if they’re going to live here. The Communist Party of the Philippines was established on November 7, 1930, AKA
Partido Komunista Bagong Hukbong Bayan, or the NPA (the armed wing) was formed by Jose Maria Sison on December 26, 1968. It was designated as a Maoist terrorist group. Rodrigo Duterte (who was Sison's former student) declared it a terrorist group on December 2017, after he took office in 2016. Prior to that, Duterte, the former mayor of Davao, was almost assassinated by the the NPA, but talked his way to being released. The NPA has been fighting a guerrilla war against the Philippines since its establishment. At first, it’s ranks numbered around 500, but the party grew quickly due to the imposition of martial law by former president Ferdinand Marcos during his 21 year rule. By the end of Marcos' dictatorship, the number of combatants had expanded to include more than 10,000 fighters. In a speech before the US Congress in 1986, Marcos' successor, Corazon Aquino, accredited the party's rapid growth as being caused by Marcos' attempts to stifle it. Corazon Aquino’s husband, Ninoy Aquino, sold Saba Island to Malaysia and was arrested by Marcos, He fled when his wife, Corazon, became President and let him out of jail. He was shot in Manila when he returned in 1980 (?) by relatives of his wife, from the. Coaujanco family. He is considered a traitor. Cory died on August 1, 2009 in office of cancer in Makati. Maria Corazón "Cory" Sumulong Cojuangco Aquino was a Filipino politician who served as the 11th President of the Philippines, becoming the first woman to hold that office. Corazon Aquino was the most prominent figure of the 1986 People Power Revolution, which ended the 21 year rule of President Ferdinand Marcos. After Cory died, her son, Ninoy took the office as president who, then, was defeated by Duterte in 2016.

Goslig: I leave it to others how much of your " history" lesson is theory and how much fact but you do keep making the same error over and over. Durterte did not defeat Ninoy and is not doing things to assure his re-election. By the Constitution of the Philippines ( 1987) the President serves ONE six year term and cannot run a second time.

I was totally into American Politics - but I was young back then. I did follow the Marcos's quite a bit but that's cuz they were always in the news and quite colorful. As far as D30 running again, I seriously doubt it. He is grooming Sara. He has said many times when he wasn't cranky that he is tired of fighting a losing battle with corruption. He said that he was not aware of how deep the corruption went and its frustrating.

You were spot on about his OBAMA opinion of the US. He has a good relationship with TRUMP because in some ways they are similar they both OPEN THEIR MOUTH AND SAY THINGS THEY TEND TO REGRET..

Goslig
  9/2/2019 06:59 EST

Robertdav298 Du-30 has been pushing for a national martial law declaration for a while, expanded from just Mindanao. The opposition Liberals are fading. If he goes for it, then he can suspend the Constitution, courts, etc. & drain the swamp. Sarah has been calling for it too. But she has to loose her political baby teeth first. Can he handle it? He’s 74. . They, Duterte and Trump, both like the ladies for certain. For a short guy, he can really pack a punch. I like it when he tells someone to F-O. His latest quirk is his threat to make a corrupt official “eat their money” if he catches them. There was a Foreigner in his restaurant in Davao, years ago (I won’t say which country), who lit up a cigarette. You can only smoke in your private car with the windows up while driving in Davao. He drew his handgun, went over and put the barrel to the guys head, and told him to eat the whole pack, or die. That’s like Trump too. The guy ate his whole pack and quietly left. This is why the Filipino people love him, yet they complain that he’s too soft on China.

The West is slowly disintegrating like Rome in the throes of a burning collapse.
One day, China is going to be the big man on the block and there is nothing we can do about it.
We allowed our politicians around the globe to dismantle whole industries in our own countries only to watch them be reassembled in China.
In the name of promoting Western democracy in China, globalists and capital oligarchs directly and indirectly helped China build a military through technology and immigrating Chinese into our technical universities.
All those rich Westerners saw were profits at everyone else’s expense. China is only going to continue to get stronger both militarily and economically. Get used it it. The stronger they become, the less crap those communist will tolerate from the West. It is too late to stop them. Benigno Aquino III, “challenged Beijing’s aggression in the South China Sea”, this isn’t true. Ninoy’s wife is Chinese. The Mamasapano clash was an incident that occurred during a police operation, codenamed Oplan Exodus, which took place on Sunday, On January 25, 2015, at Tukanalipao, Mamasapano, Maguindanao, by Special Action Force (SAF) of the Philippine National Police (PNP) (allegedly joined by United States Army Special Forces) against the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF). resulted in the deaths of 44 SAF police because the SAF commander, Chief Supt. Getulio Napeñas, was appointed by Ninoy and he failed to communicate with the military beforehand about “Operation Exodus” until at the last minute when fighting erupted between the SAF and the terrorists who ambushed the 475-man SAF.
Napeñas claimed that they informed the military “on time on target” whatever that means.
I was living here then and closely followed the news much of which was later covered up.
The military said “time on target” means their artillery is already standing by ready to fire at a moment’s notice which was not the case. American military advisors in the command post told Chief Supt. Getulio Napeñas. that he had to open up with his Artillery before sunrise or he would suffer large casualties. There was no Artillery back-up.

Only a handful knew about the top-secret military operation “Oplan Exodus.”

Among them were then President Benigno Aquino III and suspended Police Director General Alan Purisima. who was consulted at the last moment and told the American Military advisors in the command post “don’t tell me how to do my job”. Even then PNP officer-in-charge Leonardo Espina was kept in the dark about the military operation.

Ninoy was absent when the bodies of the brave fallen SAF 44 were brought home. He was in China attending an opening of a Chinese factory.

It is wrong to smear Duterte about having a Chinese relative. That is just the Liberal propaganda machine.

Some interesting posts here and I agree with most however, I think in general China is being over valued. Probably out of fear more than anything else.

China does have a large economy and with 1.2 billion people, they certainly should. America has a roughly equivalent economy with 350 million.

In my estimation, China is a paper tiger. I absolutely believe what they have done thus far is a result of the West giving it to them and we are now doing the correct thing, pulling out. Yes, let's see what kind of economy they have when there isn't any technology to steal. Let's see what king of economy they have when the west stops buying their plastic trinkets.

All nations rise and fall as with the Roman Empire and America will to...some day. America though is in its infancy and still growing, not declining.

We have the smartest most powerful military the world has ever known. We have a proud people who are freedom loving and prepared to defend freedom for all freedom loving nations.

Perhaps I'm just a naïve optimist but I think Russia and China are more an irritation than a threat. The Russians throw spit balls through Iran and China does it through North Korea.

I'm more concerned about radical Muslims attempting to infiltrate every culture on earth.

Sorry, trying to get these facts right. Cory Aquino’s family is Chinese. Ninoy’s mom. I don’t think Ninoy is married. Looked it up: Cojuangco (Chinese: ???; Pe?h-?e-j?: Khó?-hoân-ko; Southern Min pronunciation: [k????huan??ko?], Tagalog pronunciation: [x?'w??ko]) is the Hispanized Filipino-Chinese surname Kho (Hanzi: ?, pronounced [k????] in Hokkien and Xu [??] in Mandarin).[1] The Cojuangco clan is among the most powerful and influential families in the Philippines, exercising economic control over several banks (such as Bank of Commerce) and trade houses, partly due to marriages with the Ayala and Roxas families and partly to their own business enterprises (notably the sugar trade).[2] The clan has at various time been highly involved in Philippine politics, with several members having entered public office in both local and national positions.

Cojuangco
Place of origin
Fujian
The clan is descended from Co Yu Hwan (???; X? Yùhuán; Khó? Gio?k-khoân; Quanzhou Hokkien literary: H?u Ggiókhuán;[improper synthesis?] colloquial: Ko? Ggiákkuán),[improper synthesis?] who migrated from Hongjian Village, Jiaomei Township, Zhangzhou, Fujian to the Spanish East Indies in 1861.[3] He was commonly called Kuán Go? (Pe?h-?e-j?: Khoân ko "Brother Kuan") or Ko? Kuán Go? (Pe?h-?e-j?: Khó? Khoân ko / Khó? Hoân ko "Brother Koo Kuan") among Hoklo-Filipinos, and the latter was hispanicized as Cojuangco. He adopted the Christian name José in 1865, when he moved to Bulacan.

If China does not modernize fast enough you will see a revolution there similar to what happened to the old USSR. And we all know how that turned out. People remember , china needs food badly to feed it population or the 25+ cultural groups will start fighting- civil war. also remember that the ( as a rule ) population loathe the central government , fear them and they are brutal upon the people of China...., and the people want them gone ....but would never vocalize this .

HK know the above and fear them too , hence the demonstrations .

Moot I think you need to reevaluate this strategy. The US and other nuclear capable countries can launch weapons in minutes. I believe the current intelligence and surveillance would quickly indicate if China was amassing a huge army at its borders and a rapid response would be indicated.

Catabisis - I totally agree with the first 2/3rds of what you said. But - If DU30 is such a dumbass, how come he has done so much good for the RP? He did a lot of what he intended. Lowering the number of gangs and drug dealers did not happen by accident. Helping lower the amount of Governmental Corruption, even by a low percentage, is not by accident. It's better for it to be going down, even by a small amount, than going up. If it's a bigger problem than he originally thought, so what? At least he is attempting to do something about it. Aligning himself in a Big Way with Trump and the USA would be the smartest thing he could do, even with all of the USA's faults and flaws. No other country will ever have the RP's back like the USA. Not Australia, the UK, France, dot dot dot. We are an imperfect people, but at the very least, we are a Freedom loving people, and DO try to help others in search of the same. I admit that there is much corruption in American Politics, which a lot of the public hates as much as anybody, because it breaks down Freedom. I personally feel that any politician caught in a corrupt action needs to suffer - and I mean SUFFER - tremendous, life altering punishment. Something so intense and difficult, that it puts the Fear of God in them. Life in Prison? Sodium Pentathol Injections? Whatever it takes. Only very severe consequences will break the back of bad behavior. A slap on the wrist does not cut it.

Philly - "I'm more concerned about radical Muslims attempting to infiltrate every culture on earth."

I am not so afraid of them trying to infiltrate - as much as Liberals in Governments ALLOWING them to infiltrate neighborhoods, Cities, and Governments. I look at what these Ingrates have done to the UK, France, Germany, Australia, and the USA. They are GUESTS!! Not Entitled Bullies. They need to be Bi*ch Slapped, told to sit down, and shut up!! And no Welfare Checks. Work like the rest of us, instead of making bombs in their kitchens and fomenting plots against their Hosts inside of their Mosques. The moment that one of them is caught doing ANY of this, they need to be pushed off a dock - or tried and summarily executed! Trust me, they would do the same to us in their countries.

LarryKar and Goslig - In regards to DU30 suspending the Constitution and implementing Marshall Law - sometimes you need to do extreme moves to get anything accomplished - but there should be a statement regarding the length of time of such a move. Otherwise you run great danger of a Dictatorship. We must always remember, Power Corrupts, Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely. No one is free from Human Nature. We all fall to the lure of Absolute Power - and once that Forbidden Fruit is tasted - it is impossible to turn back. It opens Pandora's Box of ills.

Morjac: IF there is any truth to the book of Revelation, the only people with 200 million soldiers today is China. The logistics or psychology I leave to chance. Easily, Russia could facilitate a Chinese army moving peacefully through it's country, protected, until it reached Europe. if we were not at war. Where do you nuke them? Why nuke the nation, China, if their entire military is already gone? You simply bomb innocent people. If you're not at war with Russia , you can't bomb a Chinese army inside Russia. How long would all that take to mobilize? Not long. Historically, from Ghenzis Khan onward, the Chinese marched West, not south or East. Lastly, we have a reprieve in President Trump, but sadly we (America) have a decadent culture exploding exponentially. All civilizations go through phases, according to Arnold Toynebee; i.e. Religious, Duty bound, prosperous and luxury oriented, then decadence, and collapse which is inevitable..

Love Philly, China is just as dangerous as radical Muslims. When the Far-Right and Far-Left are taken to their extremes, totalitarianism results. China still follows Maoism. Its philosophy asserts that freedom comes from the end of a gun.
The West, and especially the U.S. is run on an economic philosophy of neoliberalism. Corporations run the government. Not the other way around. Citizens have power only until the polls close. Lobbyists control everything afterward. .
It is wishful thinking to surmise that China is going to implode from Western divestment. Trump does not have the means to force corporations out of China. He is talking nonsense. China is in the WTO for a reason and that is not going away. It is true that China’s economy is small comparable to the U.S. They have all intentions to dominate the West by planning 20, 30, and 40 years out.
It is a bit naive to think the U.S. is in its infancy. At 22 trillion in debt the U.S is indeed in decline. Social Security and other social programs are broke. All we are doing it paying interest and borrowing more. The military and Police State is the only thing the powerful on the other side of the pitchforks.
Americans may be proud, but unlike homogeneous China, Americans are very deeply divided along political and especially racial lines. It is a power keg waiting to blow. When the economy completely collapses, and it will due to debt, the whole country will erupt into anarchy and everyone will close ranks with each other according to race.
Then there will be China. Patient, as Asians are known to be. Like a lion hiding in the bushes just waiting to pounce.
Keep an eye on China’s economy. It will continue to grow with the guidance of their central party. They live by the creed of Nikki Khrushchev. He told the West that we would hang with the rope the Russians sell us. China has every intention of succeeding.

MorgacJ2004, I think you need to spend some time reading economic news about China. The West emptied out their industries for China for a reason. China government controls and exploits everything. darkfader24
  9/3/2019 16:25 EST

Catalysis - I believe you are correct on the Chinese Central Gov't being ruthless. Yes, ALL Commies are bloody ruthless - the Killing Fields of Pol Pot are just a quick and horrifying example. But not only that, the entire History of China is extremely ruthless. All cultures are guilty of this, but the Chinese hold a special place of on-going brutality for many thousands of years. It is nothing new for their Rulers. And Communism has always painted a picture of Freedom and Equality for the downtrodden. It's funny/sad how it ALWAYS delivers the opposite. It's just a means for ruthless despots to get people to fight for them, so that they can eventually become the All Powerful Rulers. They become even more cruel and despotic than the rulers that they replaced.

So you, like so many Libs and Muslims LOVE to throw punches but if someone hits you back with your same medicine - you go off cryin' to Mama. What's wrong with you whiners? After this post I will copy you exactly what Rebtop sent to me - as he introduced himself to me for the first time - and you be the judge as to who the aggressor is. If ya can't take the heat stay outta the kitchen. If you will notice, Reb spoke to me his opinion of me, without knowing me. And I answered him back with links to News Articles. If you guys don't agree with the articles, then fine. I would love to discuss it with you. I am not afraid of a good debate. If you will notice, I have never said that your viewpoint was sick and twisted. NEVER!! Copy and paste where I have. You can't cuz I haven't. I am not "so against you", as you say. I am against Your Viewpoint, not you. If you were in danger I would try to help you as much as any Conservative - or any Human Being. Also notice what you just called me: "Dark Faker". You call me "Vicious". You say that I have a warped vision. OK - fair enough regarding your opinion of my vision, but to call me vicious? One of my best friends - you've probably read this before - is a Brilliant Man who has written comedy for the great Jonathan Winters. He is Super Liberal. He truly believes that George W. Bush and Dick Cheney conspired to bring down the World Trade Center Buildings on 9/11/2001. I think that is extremely far fetched - but that's not the point. He is Far Left. I am Far Right. I housed him and fed him, drove him for his meds and Medical Doctor and Psychiatric appointments. His Meds would cost about $600.00 every 3 weeks. He had no money. I paid it out of my pocket. None of his Liberal friends could be found in time of need. They all knew his troubles. I took him to his work at a Radio Station at 5:30 AM. I let him live in my recording studio, sleeping on my couch for 9 months. I spent entire days at times "talking him off the ledge" when he was suicidal and in despair. Another dear friend of mine, "Tim", is an African-American. He is a Hard Core Democrat, and a really cool guy. He also has had many hard times. I've taken him to the grocery store (when none of his Liberal Friends would help him), and said "Fill up your shopping cart. I've got it covered." I've sat with him for long hours while he cried cuz he was so discouraged. Yeah, I'm far right but no one can call me a racist. My first two girlfriends were Black Girls - cuz I grew up the only "Cracka" in an all Black Ghetto in South Philly - back in the 1950s and 60s. One of the Girls, "Sharon Hall" is still friends with me today - 55 years later. She lives near Harrisburg, PA now - while I'm on the West Coast in California. She calls me her Big Brother, and my Mom and Step-Dad her Mom and Dad. Oh, and yeah, she's Democrat - and we're all Conservative Republicans. Watcha gotta say, Gypsy? Notice that I don't call you a nasty name and never have. Sincerely - Dark Faker - Copy of Rebtops introduction to me to follow....

As you stated, we all have a right to our opinions. I never said that Rebtop was stupid or anything like that when I challenged him. I brought up the indisputable facts of the millions of people murdered by Pol Pot, Stalin, Mao, etc. This is historical knowledge. It is fact. I also sent links to News Articles. OK - if he and / or you don't agree, fine. But I would appreciate a counter argument with some facts - not "Dark Faker" or "You must have graduated from Trump U". I mean, is that really an argument? If you guys can't come up with something better than those childish statements, Wow! I hear 2nd Grade kids argue like that. It's called "Sticks and Stones". It's name calling. Rebtop, Gypsy, and anyone who gives a blank - here is what my moniker "Darkfader24" really means. It has nothing to do with "Darkness" or "Evil" - it's a joke. It's obviously a play on Darth Vader. A "Fader" is a Sound Volume Slider on a Mixing Console that makes the sound level go up and down. I have several large, and expensive Studio Audio Consoles with hundreds of Faders on them. My Star Wars loving son hung this Moniker on me decades ago. The number 24 has to do with the number of Analog Tape channels that are on an old school analog tape recorder. It's just a little bit of tongue in cheek, that's all.

Chinese tradition of Hegomy is a positive Tropism example of this that they can’t escape. As well, the left and right parts of America need to unite against China. The Philippines (loosing the Spratley group) needed China to fund the oil exploration (creates jobs), but the on-line gambling flourishes regardless of what China demands (creates jobs). Darkfaker - you wrote - Yes you are a very confused individual. You are exposing yourself as a Putin A*s Kissing, Kim Jon-Un loving, friggin' True Red Pinko Commie. - Just because a person does not agree with your perfect USA government, does not mean they are wrong and they do not need your name calling "Red Pinko Commie". One does not have to agree with the communist system BUT in several countries it was / is the only system where a central govt can control the masses and feed them and lift out of poverty, however slowly. I would not care to live under that system but it has provided a vast improvement for millions across the globe. Obviously you dont care for Joing-un but Putin has not all been negative [today or yesteryear].
It is NOT important that anyone on this Forum passes your "What is a True American" - its none of your business what others believe. That I cannot tolerate. I disagreed with Obama but I supported him as my President because the people elected him. This constant attack by the extreme left on the President offends me. Whew....talk about your worst nightmare.

Now lets flip it, lets say uncle JOE beats Trump, here it what will happen, just listen to his campaign message:

1) medicare and medicaid for all. inluding illegals
2) Tax the wealthy up to 95% of earnings
3) Abortion anytime
4) Take away our weapons
5) implement portions of the "green new deal"
6) raise minimum wage to $15
7) remove tariffs from China and allow free trade

There is alot more but these are just a few I can think of.

You sure you hate TRUMP?

If you read anything besides " The World According to Trump" you will see all the many signs that the US economy is showing signs of crumbling. While you guys are busy calling each other names the Chinese are playing Trump along trying to decide what the best bet for them is. Some small concessions in the up coming meetings to allow Trump to crow like a Banty Rooster how he saved us all or let the US Economy continue it's decline and assure Trump is history come the election. At which time their bet is that under Biden the world will return to their " normal ". So rave on you Savants of the Right and the Left at the end it's really up to China.

Robertdav298 My nostalgia for the US is based on 1944-1990 the “golden era”, before all the horse feathers began. Robert - I agree very much with your last post, but I DO believe that some Liberals actually really do Hate some of the Conservatives - and to a much lesser degree vice versa. I say that because of my many staunch Conservative friends, even though they totally Hate the objectives, agendas and World View of the Left, they don't actually hate the people who are Liberal. Dislike maybe, but not hate. I, for one cannot stand that idiot Ocasio-Cortez. But I DO NOT hate her as human being. I would NEVER want harm to come to her ever - at all. I wish she'd sit down and be quiet. The idea that she has power as a representative in our Country;s esteemed Halls of Congress is horrifying to me. It's not so much as her incredible ignorance, but her Aggressive Arrogance. But it would grieve me if physical harm would ever come to her. We won't go into the Bernie Sanders supporter who shot up all the Congressmen just trying to play some Baseball. OK - Alexandria Rant over. Now, in regards to Hollyweird and the Media - yes, they have tried their hardest with a constant drum beat to get people to buy into the idea that Trump is how I described Ocasio-Cortez. In a close examination they found that over the last 2 & 1/2 years 93% of all Media stories on Trump were negative. Bias, anyone? In spite of throwing everything that they could at him, his popularity is currently hovering around the 50% mark, in some polls exceeding 50%. That's because even in the face of extreme odds - as in even many Republicans don't support him - he has accomplished many of his campaign promises. Not all - but it's only been 2 & 1/2 years. Obama declared "How you gonna bring all those jobs back? Wave a Magic Wand?" That's because Obama was raised NOT to believe in our Capitalistic System. Or America. He was hostile to the idea. He didn't believe in the True Cause of America. We were the reason for many of the World's ills. America was forever tainted because of the Great Sin of Slavery. We could never be redeemed or forgiven - even though hundreds of thousands died for the cause of freeing the slaves. He doesn't believe in Forgiveness or Redemption. What Obama doesn't realize is All Men are Sinners - including himself. This Country has striven to correct it's wrongs. It is far from perfect - as all Nations are far from perfect - but that's because it is made up of imperfect people. The entire World is this way. American Exceptionalism comes from Freedom. And our Freedom comes from that incredible document called The Constitution. We must protect it and revere it at all costs. So, Trump comes along and says "Who says we can't bring many of those jobs back - that we lost to other countries?" And with confidence in our cause and an ability to negotiate, our economy is doing amazingly well. The numbers don't lie. Lowest unemployment rate for Hispanics and African-Americans ever recorded. Lowest unemployment rate overall since 1969 - 50 years! Dealing with a massive problem at our Southern Border. It's strange to me how the World condemns us regarding us wanting to carefully "Vette" who comes in here - and yet, their Borders are very tightly controlled, even closed in some cases. Mexico shoves their people at us - but try getting into Mexico!! Can you imagine how Mexico or many Countries would act if 10 Thousand people were leaping over it's walls, crossing over each day in these numbers? Wow! It wouldn't be pretty.

The surplus in January was $8.7 billion. a revenue increase of 2.3% hasn’t kept pace with a 9.3% rise in spending. Trump has repeatedly boasted that the U.S. is taking in billions in dollars through the tariffs, though importers in America are actually paying the levies. Something has gotta give. Robert I do not pretend to have much knowledge on Indian Affairs so I found your implicated statement that somehow due to Trump your family can now speak their Mother Tongue in their home. That in itself is great and I call it progress. I did find that Gov. Kristi Noem signed a bill into law, to go into effect July 1, that recognizes the language of the O'ceti Sakowin, which is comprised of the dialects of Lakota, Dakota and Nakota, as the official indigenous language of South Dakota. The bill sponsor was Senator Troy Heinert, A DEMOCRAT. I could find no indication that Trump had any part of it. part A is free for those that are age 65 AND have worked enough hours/years to qualify. Part A covers hospital care.

Part B covers doctor visits and cost you each month plus an annual deductible.
There are some things that PART B does not cover and that is why the majority of the people on medicare have a supplement insurance.
Niether A or B cover prescription drugs or daily maintenance meds.
Part D is for prescription drugs BUT there is a list of what they cover AND you have to pay monthly for PART D.

REBTOP.....serving in the military is something I commend you for many servicemen paid the ultimate price for our freedom. The men and women who serve our community everyday should also be commeded.

Now let me ask you a question did TRUMP renegotiate the NAFTA TRADE DEAL? Now you said that MEXICO is not paying for the wall like TRUMP said they would and at face value that is a true statement. However; if you get into the long term specifics of the new deal MEXICO is indeed paying for the wall....so to speak.......you see if you ever read the book ART OF THE DEAL then you would appreciate the subtle things that a true business man can negotiate to his advantage and make you think you got the best of him.

Are you familiar with General Patton from WWII? Well PAtton was a true military mind he was no politician but Eisenhower feared him because the people liked him and Eisenhower had aspirations of running for president after the war.
Point I am making is that the liberals fear DT because he is not a politician and they cannot figure out his next move so they spend millions of US $$ which is tax payer money on the Russia Hoax.......the money they spent could have helped the homeless in SF, LA, Baltimore and many other democrat run cities.

Everybody keeps making a big deal about the border wall. It's not about the money, it's about hate for our President and attempting to deny him anything he and the American people want.

Our annual budget is about 1,100 billion dollars. We spend 54% of this on our military to defend the world. If the one time cost of a wall is 30 billion dollars, its a drop in the bucket.

This is not about the money, it's pure hate.

If it works in that area, we can then impose it over the entire world. As to regulating Climate Change, I am willing to govern and collect fines for the rest of you chaps. They were totally on board with the Underground Railroad in the 1850s and 60s. There was a Lady Friend of my Mom's who was Quaker - we met her when we moved to New Mexico. She came from a very wealth family back in PA but had married a poor Navajo Indian man. They had 2 daughters who were my schoolmates in high school. He is throwing his opponents. He talks about this openly in "The Art of The Deal". He's playing "Poker" with everyone - says one thing, reels them in, then does or says the opposite. China's economy appears strong - but only because the Country / Population is so large. Per capita - it is weak. The USA has the strongest economy - and without us, China would really be hurting. That's why when Trump starts a new round of tariffs they come running to the bargaining table. In regards to a big recession coming to the USA - this is a Media hoax designed to frighten everyone and rattle Wall Street - in order to upset the 2020 Election in favor of the DNC. Goslig - Wait a second. How can we end up under a Polar Dome, when all we have been hearing about is The Polar Caps are melting? This is the confusion of the message that comes from the Climate Change People. The "consensus" is this or that. The Consensus in Christopher Columbus' day was that the Earth was flat. Here is just a small part of my take: The Earth has a sealed environment, just like a Terrarium. Oxygen does not leak out into outer space nor does that incredible expanse of vacuum suck it out. A Miracle of God, in my humble opinion. In a terrarium all temps go up and down evenly - overall. So NYC and Syracuse, NY are measured in the 1800s as a certain level. 150 years later, NYC has gone way up, but Syracuse hasn't - and they are not far from each other. Explanation? NYC now has much more cement, asphalt, glass (on the tall buildings), cars, industry. It's localised, not Global. I have friends who have travelled to Thailand, China, and India. The pollution in those countries is unspeakable, from their reports. I hear the same about the RP. Canada and the USA can do an admirable job controlling their pollution, but how much good will it do if the other countries don't participate?

Goslig - I look forward to reading the GW Article. Thanks. It's a fascinating subject.
I have no problem with "Climate Change" - Remember Carol King & James Taylor - "Winter, Spring, Summer, or Fall....." The climate is always changing. It's the power of man or lack there of to have any control over the environment on a Global Scale that I dispute. Nature has so much power above our own, we are miniscule in comparison. I believe we are stewards of our World. We must love it and care for it. It's always much nicer to look at a bed of Roses than a pile of garbage. I'd also rather smell aPine Forest than Jeepney exhaust. However, the power of a Mt. St. Helen's is so much greater than combining many nukes together. And volcanoes are always going off. We can't control this. Hurricanes, Tornados, Tsunamis, Tidal Waves - wow! We can't start them or stop them. They've been happening for millenia before we arrived. BTW - All that ash that filled the skies globally from all of these volcanos has been completely cleaned up by Mother Nature. The Exxon Valdez made such a mess that the valiant efforts of humans did very little to help the environment. The Ocean cleaned it up. The Ocean has life in it that feeds on oil. Millions of barrels of oil rise up through fissures in the ocean floor where sea life consumes it. God's design? IF there was an Ice Age, it has been suggested, due to erosion patterns, that the Ice was up to 3,000 feet thick. More than 1/2 mile! What part of the Industrial Revolution dissolved the Ice Age? If this did indeed happen, that was a pretty powerful thing and had nothing to do with us humans. Now we are told that ALL of our Global Industry is starting (just starting) to melt glaciers. If so, what melted 3,000 feet of ice surrounding the entire planet? Back around 1966 I saw at a Planetarium a film where the scientists were predicting a coming Ice Age. Then in the mid 1970s Jane Fonda and then husband Tom Hayden were conducting these seminars with scientists scaring people about the impending Ice Age. Now it's flipped. No no no!! It's not an Ice Age - it's the opposite!! Again, Consensus. Not facts. The consensus used to be the Earth was Flat. One year the consensus is here comes the Ice. The next year........ In 1988 actor Ted Danson said that within 10 years nothing in the sea would be edible. That was 31 years ago. I'll bet he enjoyed eating Sushi last night. In the mid 1990s there was a guy - can't remember his name or committee - from the United Nations. The committee had oversight of Global Warming conditions. He said in 8 years or some such the World would not be able to reverse it's deadly course. Now - 18 years later the beginning of the end - Ocasio-Cortez says we have 12 years to reverse it!! Someone needs to tell her we are WAAAAY too late. We crossed that threshold in 2003. So now we are ALL doomed and it's way way way to late. We all might as well go out for Sushi and enjoy ourselves like the Epicurians. "Eat, Drink, and be Merry, for Tomorrow We All Die!". NO ONE IS HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR WORDS! I'd love to shove a camera and mic in these peoples' faces and ask them if the World has already ended - and I just didn't get the memo!!

Anyway, check out this article with plenty of proof - as to the corruption within some of the key Scientific Communities involving Global Warming.. I became aware of this many years ago - and have been quite leery of these people for awhile. This article concerns discovered emails showing scientists trying to circumvent the Freedom of Information Act regarding how they arrived at their numbers, with people admitting that they did not do things correctly on purpose, fudged numbers, etc. Shocking! https://wattsupwiththat.com/2009/11/24/the-people-vs-the-cru-freedom-of-information-my-okole/

Fader - In 2010 4.9 million barrels (210 million US gal; 780,000 m3) of oil was dumped into the Gulf of Mexico when BP's Deepwater Horizon oil rig exploded. The effects of the BP oil spill will continue to be felt by future generations, as contamination has been found throughout the entire food chain. More than 8,000 marine birds, sea turtles and marine mammals were found dead or injured within months of the clean up effort. The impact of this disaster has unbalanced the food web of the environment. The oil spill occurred at the height of breeding season and as result affected egg and larval animals to the worst extent wiping entire age classes. This loss of a generation down the line will prove dire for future predators of the ecosystem. Yeah sh#t happens.

We have just had 18 years of global cooling. I imagine most research is retroactive, but if I can alter your opinion with the facts, I would attempt to do my best. With Obama in Paris agreeing to some UN resolution of 'Climate Change' America slipped. First, the phrase, Global Warming is no longer used, because factually it's not happening, and logic dictates we cannot control the weather of Canada which blows into America unless we have authority over both countries. So, Voila! Globalism is effected chiefly by alarming each person's banal concern for 'rain-clouds'. A One-World Vision is peacefully achieved without 'killing all the capitalists'. It's a childish notion by pseudo-Marxists. Other than that I hope you all have a great day!

Getting wrapped up in the personal vitriol of people, especially the arrogant ones will waste you're sincere attempt at enjoying this forum for education. I can see need by some to inflate their 'ego'. Exactly why they insult people here, is a mystery to me, but it has little to do with being 'helpful'. It's neurotic. The person is simply baiting people to react and it matters little whether you learn anything. If that person fools some by flattery, and stabs others he becomes the 'center of attention' while damaging the cohesion and purpose of the group. So, I feel it may be better to shut down any more political 'trash-talk'. Nobody is living in China, or America and Nobody is being illuminated or benefitted by it. Good luck!

You left out that NPA founder, Jose Maria Sison was Duterte’s me tor for over 40 years until they had a fallout once Duterte became president.
Duterte’s chief of staff in Davao was none other than former NPA commander, Leoncio Evasco Jr.. Accordibg to Wikipedia, he served as campaign manager of Duterte when he ran in the 1988 mayoral elections. He served as OIC of the city engineer's office from 1989-1990. Evasco headed the economic enterprise office before being appointed as chief of staff of Duterte.

catabisis You don’t get it because you don’t live in the Philippines. You are quoting me, not darkfader24. Why do you make simplistic statements about DU-30? Did you know he has a 79% approval rating? DU-30 was angered by Trudeau and Obama and told them to FO. I watched it on TV. Why? Because they were sucked in by liberal party propaganda. Yes there were some EJK’s of meth dealers who didn’t grab their guns. The murder rate in the Philippines is 9.84% p/100,000. Whereas the murder rate in the US is 5.3%p/100,000. The RP is more violent than the US. You are just making a ‘here say’ remark about EJK’s in the Philippines. You have no factual evidence. There probably were some EJK’s of drug lords and at least one politician since DU-30 was elected
Between 1990 and 2005, Amnesty International recorded 19 executions in the United States for crime committed by a juvenile.
In 2003, Amnesty International reported those who kill whites are more likely to be executed than those who kill blacks, citing that of the 845 people executed since 1977 80 percent were put to death for killing whites and 13 percent were executed for killing blacks, even though blacks and whites are murdered in almost equal numbers. You’ll fit right in with all the rest of the Trump halo polishers here. Your opinions are just that. You have no evidence. For comparison sake, consider the following facts:
As of December 2017 the United States had the highest percentage of people in prison of any nation,
or roughly 1 out of every 136 Americans. The length of the average prison sentences (for all crimes) in the United States far exceed those in most other countries. The United States is currently the country with the most life sentences, most of which are life without parole.

catabisis The story about the NPA capturing Duterte with the intention of killing him is true. I read that story in the Newspaper when Duterte was mayor of Davao where I have lived since 2012. During his career as mayor, Duterte cleaned up Davao and there was a Davao Death Squad that everyone knew about and supported. Davao City is now the fifth safest city in the world, improving from its ninth-place ranking last month, according to the data release by Numbed.com. Jun 24, 2015. The report I saw on Facebook was that it had moved into 4th place. Go to Google.

My previous posts did mention that Duterte was a student of Sison. Your claim that Sison was his mentor for over 40 years is completely false. Duterte has recently ordered the arrest of Sison and all the NPA members and their University recruiters. You are accurate in stating that due process is fast and loose in the RP, Remember that Marcos ruled under martial law for 14 years, 1972-1968. If you’re planning on living in the Philippines, If I were you, I would be more careful about what you say about DU-30. His current approval rating is 79%. It’s their country and we are their guests remember. Libel laws are quite strict here, and you can be deported for embarrassing a Pinoy..

They could see that president after president, congress after congress did not improve their lot, so they hired a human wrecking ball to tear down and make new.

Is Canada a threat to the US? The Trudeau government is currently in negotiations with Turkey to bring captured ISIS fighters back to Canada for 'reintegration' into Canada society, with complete pardons. To top it off with podcasts, poetry lessons and body rubs. It has just been revealed that the Liberal government intends to brings 500.000 Palestinians into Canada, many of whom have practiced terrorism against Israel and as well as child rape . Trudeau personally has rewarded four terrorists to the tune of 10.5 millions dollars apiece. It goes on. Gee, hard to understand why the U.S. Government might regard Jihadi Justin and the Canadian government as a security risk.
Don’t forget the "Millennium Bomber" Ahmed Ressam was arrested in Port Angeles, Washington State after driving off a Ferry from Victoria, BC, Canada. He is an Algerian al-Qaeda member who lived for a time in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He received extensive terrorist training in Afghanistan. On December 14, 1999,
Ressam took the M/V Coho car ferry from Victoria to Port Angeles, Washington. He successfully passed through U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service checks in Victoria, and boarded the last ferry of the day for the 90-minute crossing to the U.S. After the ferry docked in Port Angeles at 6 pm, Ressam intended to be the last car off.
U.S. Customs inspector Diana Dean decided to have a secondary Customs search conducted of Ressam's car, saying later that Ressam was acting "hinky" and asked him to get out of the car. Another Customs inspector searched the car and found in the spare tire well: ten green plastic garbage bags with 118 pounds (54 kg) of a fine white powder (which tests later identified as urea, used to manufacture explosives and fertiliser, two lozenge bottles filled with primary explosives hexamethylene triperoxide diamine (HMTD) and cyclotrimethylenetrinitramine (RDX), two plastic bags with 14 pounds (6.4 kg) of a crystalline powder (later shown to be aluminium sulfate, used primarily as a desiccant, to keep things dry) two 22-ounce olive jars with 2.6 pounds (1.2 kg) of golden-brown liquid (later identified as secondary explosive ethylene glycol dinitrate (EGDN), an extremely explosive and volatile nitroglycerin equivalent that is twice as powerful as TNT), and
four operational timing devices designed to detonate primary explosives, consisting of small black boxes containing circuit boards connected to Casio watches and 9-volt battery connectors. As one of the Customs inspectors escorted Ressam from the car, he broke free and fled. Inspectors chased him for five to six blocks and caught him as he tried to force his way into a car stopped at a traffic light. They took him into custody He is currently serving a 27 year jail sentence. Question is does Trump now build a wall between the US & Canada?

Goslig, Here’s an article from Facebook.

Andy Yapo
Did Duterte really make Davao safe from criminals? Is the city even ‘safest’ in the Philippines?
NOVEMBER 30, 2015 · PUBLIC
It is now an accepted “fact” that Davao City is “one of the safest cities in the world” and the safest in the Philippines. This claim has been appropriated by the camp of Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte to depict him as the best mayor the Philippines has ever had because he managed to keep his city safe. For this reason, Duterte has decided to run for president, promising to do to the whole country what he did in Davao City, mainly the elimination -- without due process and through his Davao Death Squad -- of criminals or suspected criminals, including children who run afoul of the law. He is “The Punisher,” our “Duterte Harry,” our savior. His popularity suggests that he could very well become our next leader. Many applaud this possibility; some, like myself, shudder at the thought.
A Facebook post by Sean de Dios sought to demolish the whole basis for the Duterte mania, the claim that his city is the safest in the country. A key point de Dios made is that this is based entirely on the popularity survey done on Numbeo.com, a user-contributed survey site, not on any scientific study or even official police statistics.
De Dios’s post prompted me to dig up an old Excel file that I stumbled upon on the website of the Philippine National Police a while back. I held off on saying anything public about the crime statistics contained in that file, mainly because that’s the only crime statistic file for the PNP Region 11 office, which covers Davao City, Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Davao Oriental, Compostela Valley. The crime statistics in the file are only for the year 2012; I thought a good analysis of the issue requires comparison with other years, preferably more recent. But I couldn’t find any other official crime statistics online for Region 11. (For an organization that brags of transparency on its own website, this is rather disappointing of the PNP.) Moreover, I figured it should not be that complicated to debunk a claim such as “the safest city” – all one had to do really is find another place that is safer, with solid statistics – not just statistics from users of a popularity survey site like Numbeo -- to back it up.
So here it is, my take on this “safest city” claim, based on the PNP’s official crime statistics for 2012. But some notes and caveats:
Rodrigo Duterte was not mayor of Davao City in 2012; his daughter Sara was. But he was the vice mayor and was running the city as he always had. (The only reason Sara became mayor was because Duterte had reached the limit for reelection. When Sara stepped down in 2013, her father promptly took her place.)
The 2012 crime statistics came from the PNP’s website. While I have had problems with other PNP statistics and that there have been allegations that the PNP tended to manipulate the numbers, I don’t see why they would do such a thing here. For the purpose of this post, let’s presume regularity. (Last I checked this morning, the file is still on the website. Download it while it’s still there. If it somehow disappeared, DM me so I can send you the file.)
While the statistics cover only 2012, it is not unreasonable to assume that the preceding and succeeding years don’t defer that much in terms of data.
A crime rate is the number (or volume) of crimes in a given population and is computed as the number of crimes per 100,000. So: Number of crimes / population X 100,000 = crime rate per 100,000. (Source: BAIR Analytics)
Index crimes are classified into two: crimes against person (murder, homicide, physical injury, rape ) and crimes against property (robbery, theft, carnapping, cattle rustling. Non-index crimes are all crimes not considered index crimes.
This is a personal post. This does not represent my employer’s position on Duterte and all responsibility for this is mine alone.
You might ask if I’m a paid hack out to demolish Duterte. You certainly have the right to think that, but it’s your burden to prove it. I don’t have to prove anything. If you are not open-minded enough to take contrary views and facts, then that’s your problem, not mine. All I’m saying is, Duterte is not the person he projects himself to be and Davao is not the city that we thought it is. But, you might also ask, is Duterte a bad administrator? Not really. Given what he has done for the city -- making it clean and orderly, for example -- he has shown the capacity for good leadership. Is Davao City a bad city? No. It is certainly one of the best places in the Philippines. I’ve been there and I would love to go back. But we should ask ourselves if encouraging or allowing the murder of people without due process (many of them could be innocent) is not too high a price to pay for having a good mayor and a clean city.
The claim that Davao City is the safest in the country – the one claim that might make Duterte president -- is, in a word, a sham.
For comparison, we will limit the tables and statistics below to three areas that officially make up Region 11 – Davao City (population: 1,689,95); Davao del Sur (population: 941,180); and Davao del Norte (population: 831,377). Again, keep in mind that our main purpose here is to debunk the claim that Davao City is the safest city in the Philippines, so technically even just one area that shows the contrary should prove the point.

A screengrab of the Excel file on the PNP's 2012 crime stats for 2012 in Region 11, which includes Davao City.

CRIME AGAINST PERSONS: As the above chart shows, Davao del Norte has lesser crimes against persons (37) than Davao City (40).

CRIME AGAINST PROPERTY: Davao City, with 175, is the runaway winner compared to Davao del Sur (78) and Davao del Norte (56).

INDEX CRIME: Davao City’s rate (214) is nearly twice as high as Davao del Sur (124), with Davao del Norte way lower (93).

NON-INDEX CRIME: Here, Davao City is way, way up (226) compared to Davao del Norte’s 51 and Davao del Sur’s 60.

AVERAGE MONTHLY CRIME RATE: Davao City’s 38 is more than twice as high as Davao del Sur (15) and thrice as high as Davao del Norte (12).

TOTAL CRIME RATE: Davao City’s crime rate of 441 is 2.3 times as high as Davao del Sur (184) and more than thrice as high was Davao del Norte (144).
There you have it. There’s just no truth to the claim that Davao City is the safest city in the Philippines and the 9th safest city in the world. In fact, any of the cities in Davao del Sur (Digos City) and Davao del Norte (Panabo City and Tagum City) can rightfully claim this dubious title, not Davao City. (Then again, these cities have their own share of criminality and I’m certain that there are cities in other regions that have better crime rates.)
So the next time somebody says we should vote Duterte for president because he made Davao City the safest city in the Philippines ever, ask him what the f*ck he’s talking about.

Then there’s this Aug. 2019: Davao City trailed behind Chiang Mai in Thailand as the safest city in Southeast Asia with a Safety Index of 77.88, and a Crime Index of 22.12.

catabisis I remember this Davao City bashing going on week after week in 2018. Were you part of the pack back then attacking Seernai? The Welshman who finally gave up and quit the Forum because his facts mattered not? I think he said he had lived here 6 years. I’ve lived here for 8 years. I got a pretty good idea. So where are you living in the Philippines? You say you have been here a while? How long is that? Are you here now? Where? I promise to walk you through the facts once I am back at my desktop. Not that it would ever change your bias, since I think your true purpose is to badger me because you are a Trump fan. You are afflicted the same way as some others here. Just keep on badgering. You are not credible to me, and you are serving a false purpose with this discussion which is rightly about an attempt to find something to put me on the defensive about. So I will feed you that, but only if you can tell me how long you have lived here and where? Or are you one of those forum members preoccupied with supporting Trump and living in the US?

Goslig - Jeez - Regarding "Ressam" - what an interesting post!! I vaguely remember the incident but did not know all these details. Cats like him that are obviously guilty should be dealt with D30 Style. Take them to the alley and shoot them. They do not need a trial. WE KNOW THAT THEY ARE GUILTY - AND WE KNOW WHAT THEY INTEND. There is only one reason to keep them alive - and that's to "Milk" information from them. Since their intention is to kill - they have signed their own Death Warrant. They show no mercy - and therefore deserve none. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

ABSOLUTELY RIGHT! This safest city debate has raged on this forum for ages. One very good member who is no longer around argued on and on about how safe and wonderful Davou is/was. My advice just let it go. Like anyplace it's only safe till you act stupid. My and a musician friend used to go visit the Blue Note in East St. Louis back in the 60's. You learn to smile and not act a fool in " enemy territory". It was good training for RP.

The Chinese would run over this place like Army Ants. They have much Bigger Fish to fry. It is not within our DNA to to self-destruct, to commit suicide. Our DNA has always screamed "Survival!" Suicide comes from the hopeless, the broken. The Chinese people and Government want to survive - so they would rather negotiate than instigate serious hostilities. Only if she is backed into a corner - will she lash out. Anyone dealing with China or any nation must use great wisdom.

Dark,

Speaking of nuclear powers, there are currently nine nations known to have nuclear weapons. Proliferation is becoming serious as Iran pushes forward and now Saudi Arabia announces its plan. Other nations will follow. This is as serious or more serious than Muslim infiltration. If one tiny rogue nation gets this capability they will use it then everyone is in. Iran launches against Israel, Israel launches against Iran, Russia Launches against Israel, etc. You see where this goes. RP seems like a very safe place to me.

My friend was a Hammond B3 player even had not one but two Lesley Tone Cabinets. And friends with most of the House Musicians. When we walked in the place would go silent till the House Band keyboard player would say, " it's all cool folks these are friends of mine and maybe later Don will come up and play for us." LovePhilly - Regarding a possible Nuke War started by a rogue like Iran - Yes, you have a very interesting take on it. The Philippines might tend to be safe since it doesn't threaten anyone, but things will be so shook up that it will be hell. Possible Fallout. The World Economy will instantly collapse so there will be widespread panic , looting of grocery stores, and an immediate drop in food supplies all over the World. Roving gangs. It will not be terribly different than Zombie Apocalypse Movies - except no Zombies. People will be in Survival Mode - and that is a very, very dangerous mindset. I have faith that God Almighty is in control of this Beautiful Ball of Crazy Humans that we call Earth. It is the most unique and gorgeous planet - teeming with life, sprawling beaches, waterfalls, Mountains with Pine Forests, and most of all, Human and Animal Life. The World would be a very cold and lonely place, even with all of it's beauty, if people weren't here to enjoy and share it. Love is the the most important element. But love doesn't come from Mighty Oaks or lovely streams. I wouldn't want to be Robinson Crusoe, even on the most amazing Island. It would be devastating. No, Earth was created for Mankind, and God isn't going to allow our arrogance and pride and anger wipe out His creation. That's EXACTLY why no Despot has ever taken over the World. It has never happened and it never will happen. God won't allow any Maos or Stalins or Hitlers or anyone to get complete control. It is an exercise in futility - unfortunately, destroying many innocent lives in the process.

But Alexander became great through his association with a great man. This is how it works; we become like the people we are around. Not because of what they say. I can find the reference in Revelation 18....It speaks of the 'center of world trade being destroyed in one hour; even though it was on an island...(Manhattan Island.) Extraordinary reference to a process of change occurring.

Rebtop:

So far, emoluments lawsuits against Trump have all failed. I wonder why?

Having people stay at your hotel, for which you receive services for your money, is not like having them give millions to your foundation as did Mrs. Clinton.

This reminds me of the Congresscritters who allege Trump obstruction of justice from pages of the Mueller Report whereas Mueller declined to indict and the DoJ declined as well.

As Dersh says, you can't indict for the exercise of a Constitutional authority.

Your allegations are all hat and no cattle; it's wishful thinking and going nowhere.

Moot- it is true, our Prime Minister refuses to take a DNA test. His mother, dated Fidel Castro for many many many weeks. Around 8 to 9 months before Trudy was born. The timeline, the looks, the heritage, his mother’s whereabouts, all lineup to Fidel Castro. It is a well-known whisper among the halls of our Parliament buildings. Of course, there is no law to mandate him to take a DNA test.

Earnestndeavor, thanks for this. I have been out of town and the date slipped my mind. What is also sad is the acceleration of the loss of our rights as Americans. This is from The Daily Bell......The Bill of Rights Turns 230, and What Do We Have to Show for It? Nothing Good
By John W. Whitehead - September 11, 2019....

It’s been 230 years since James Madison drafted the Bill of Rights—the first ten amendments to the Constitution—as a means of protecting the people against government tyranny, and what do we have to show for it?

Nothing good.

In America today, the government does whatever it wants, freedom be damned.

We can pretend that the Constitution, which was written to hold the government accountable, is still our governing document, but the reality of life in the American police state tells a different story.

“We the people” have been terrorized, traumatized, and tricked into a semi-permanent state of compliance by a government that cares nothing for our lives or our liberties.

The bogeyman’s names and faces have changed over time (terrorism, the war on drugs, illegal immigration, etc.), but the end result remains the same: in the so-called named of national security, the Constitution has been steadily chipped away at, undermined, eroded, whittled down, and generally discarded to such an extent that what we are left with today is but a shadow of the robust document adopted more than two centuries ago.

Most of the damage has been inflicted upon the Bill of Rights.

A recitation of the Bill of Rights—set against a backdrop of government surveillance, militarized police, SWAT team raids, asset forfeiture, eminent domain, overcriminalization, armed surveillance drones, whole body scanners, stop and frisk searches (all sanctioned by Congress, the White House, the courts and the like)—would sound more like a eulogy to freedoms lost than an affirmation of rights we truly possess.

Here is what it means to live under the Constitution today.

The First Amendment is supposed to protect the freedom to speak your mind, assemble and protest nonviolently without being bridled by the government. It also protects the freedom of the media, as well as the right to worship and pray without interference. In other words, Americans should not be silenced by the government. To the founders, all of America was a free speech zone. Despite the clear protections found in the First Amendment, the freedoms described therein are under constant assault.

The Second Amendment was intended to guarantee “the right of the people to keep and bear arms.” Essentially, this amendment was intended to give the citizenry the means to resist tyrannical government. Yet while gun ownership has been recognized by the U.S. Supreme Court as an individual citizen right, Americans remain powerless to defend themselves against SWAT team raids and government agents armed to the teeth with military weapons better suited for the battlefield.

The Third Amendment reinforces the principle that civilian-elected officials are superior to the military by prohibiting the military from entering any citizen’s home without “the consent of the owner.” With the police increasingly training like the military, acting like the military, and posing as military forces—complete with heavily armed SWAT teams, military weapons, assault vehicles, etc.—it is clear that we now have what the founders feared most—a standing army on American soil.

The Fourth Amendment prohibits government agents from conducting surveillance on you or touching you or invading you, unless they have some evidence that you’re up to something criminal. In other words, the Fourth Amendment ensures privacy and bodily integrity. Unfortunately, the Fourth Amendment has suffered the greatest damage in recent years and has been all but eviscerated by an unwarranted expansion of police powers that include strip searches and even anal and vaginal searches of citizens, surveillance (corporate and otherwise) and intrusions justified in the name of fighting terrorism, as well as the outsourcing of otherwise illegal activities to private contractors.

The Fifth Amendment and the Sixth Amendment work in tandem. These amendments supposedly ensure that you are innocent until proven guilty, and government authorities cannot deprive you of your life, your liberty or your property without the right to an attorney and a fair trial before a civilian judge. However, in the new suspect society in which we live, where surveillance is the norm, these fundamental principles have been upended. Certainly, if the government can arbitrarily freeze, seize or lay claim to your property (money, land or possessions) under government asset forfeiture schemes, you have no true rights.

The Seventh Amendment guarantees citizens the right to a jury trial. Yet when the populace has no idea of what’s in the Constitution—civic education has virtually disappeared from most school curriculums—that inevitably translates to an ignorant jury incapable of distinguishing justice and the law from their own preconceived notions and fears.

The Eighth Amendment is similar to the Sixth in that it is supposed to protect the rights of the accused and forbid the use of cruel and unusual punishment. However, the Supreme Court’s determination that what constitutes “cruel and unusual” should be dependent on the “evolving standards of decency that mark the progress of a maturing society” leaves us with little protection in the face of a society lacking in morals altogether.

The Ninth Amendment provides that other rights not enumerated in the Constitution are nonetheless retained by the people. Popular sovereignty—the belief that the power to govern flows upward from the people rather than downward from the rulers—is clearly evident in this amendment. However, it has since been turned on its head by a centralized federal government that sees itself as supreme and which continues to pass more and more laws that restrict our freedoms under the pretext that it has an “important government interest” in doing so.

As for the Tenth Amendment’s reminder that the people and the states retain every authority that is not otherwise mentioned in the Constitution, that assurance of a system of government in which power is divided among local, state and national entities has long since been rendered moot by the centralized Washington, DC, power elite—the president, Congress and the courts.

If there is any sense to be made from this recitation of freedoms lost, it is simply this: our individual freedoms have been eviscerated so that the government’s powers could be expanded.

Yet those who gave us the Constitution and the Bill of Rights believed that the government exists at the behest of its citizens. It is there to protect, defend and enhance our freedoms, not violate them.

It was no idle happenstance that the Constitution opens with these three powerful words: “We the people.”

We the citizenry are the arbiters and ultimate guardians of America’s welfare, defense, liberty, laws and prosperity.

As I make clear in my book Battlefield America: The War on the American People, we have the power to make and break the government.

Surf - Remember that sweet little statement from Mr. Obama: "White Folk's greed runs a World in need!"? Remember that? Talk about a broad brush painting White Folks - there's an awful lot of them - as greedy. That sounds RACIST to me. If you're White - well, your greed runs a World in need, Kracka! But what REALLY SUCKS is the fact that Mr. Obama, who comes across like such a caring individual for the poor downtrodden - and a nice guy - just purchased a 14.8 MILLION DOLLAR Mansion in MARTHA'S VINEYARD - Yeah, getting all COZY WIT DEM WHITE FOLKS.
Ya gotta check out this photo!

I remember when Mr. Obama called out Rich People, decrying their wealthy Life Styles - How many steaks can you eat, huh? And then he gets all cushy with his wife and two kids - one of them is going out with one of the richest little twirps from England, no less. I don't mind them enjoying their life. I just wanta puke after hearing him shame others for what he does. All self-righteous and sh*t. And I have another question. Where did ALL that cash come from, hmmmm? Yeah, just another Washington DC Insider with Velcro on his palms, sliding them BENJAMINS into his pocket. Yeah, Barack, Half-White Folk - YOU - your Greed runs a World in Need!!!

The money came from book sales and an advance on Mr. Obama's upcoming memoirs of his Presidency. Good for him and Michelle. But, Barry - just think of all the good you could have done helping the poor downtrodden - who you always champion. You ask us to do it, don't you? You condemn all Dem Greedy White Folk about their money. Why don't you put 20% where your mouth is. It won't hurt you financially. Hell, even 50% would still leave you with Tens of Millions. I mean, do you REALLY need 8.5 Bathrooms and a $14.8 Million Home overlooking the ocean on a huge amount of expensive, exclusive acreage? Do you really NEED IT? Remember, Barry - Your Greed runs a World in Need.

Believe me - he is so focused on others and their Ethnicities. He's obsessed - and it's made him a lot of money. He grew up in White Privilege - and was well taken care of. He went to exclusive schools in Hawaii. He's got Nuthin' to bit*ch about. He never lived in a ghetto - nothing remotely close to one. But he makes himself look good by making others look bad. And believe me - the man is a Racist. It's a strong part of human psychology - attack and accuse others of what you are guilty.

Yes, the USA may not be mentioned in the Bible and that reference may not be about our 9/11 - in fact I doubt that it is - but it is still interesting. I think that that reference is about something far more cataclysmic - something that is REALLY going to shake things up in the World Economy - basically bring the World Economy to it's knees. And the event may not be literal - but an analogy. That particular reference is still quite evocative.

I have two question. How do I get these emails from going to my Junk file? I mark them as Not Junk on my IPhone and nothing changes. Also, on mobile, how do I start a new topic? Here is an article about China and U.S. it leans left is my guess. But we Americans are so propagandized it is difficult to believe anything in mainstream media. This article comes from Information Clearinghouse. ................

U.S. Loses Asia-Pacific as Full Spectrum Dominance Continues to Fail
By Matthew Ehret...............

September 09, 2019 "Information Clearing House" - Always working a little harder than most to stay a step below reality, US Secretary of Defense Mark Esper made especially candid remarks this week that America’s INF pullout was timed for a targeting of forces against China.

Speaking to Fox on August 21st, Esper said: “We want to make sure that we, as we need to, have the capability to deter Chinese bad behavior… China is the number one priority for this department. It’s outlined in the national defense strategy, why we think it’s a long term strategic competitor and one that is pursuing a maximization campaign, if you will, throughout the indo-Pacific theater, whether its politically, economically or militarily…”

Echoing a little Dr. Strangelove, Esper stated that there is “a coming shift” from “low intensity conflict that lasts 18 years to high intensity conflicts against competitors such as Russia and China.”

While American military exercises in the Pacific have played out on China’s doorstep at an accelerating rate since the Pivot to Asia was announced in 2011 with the most recent US-Australia Talisman Sabre bi-annual exercise and US-South Korea Ulchi Freedom war games this month, China has not remained idle.

In response to America’s vast array of military infrastructure built up on China’s border, China has responded by the unveiling of cutting edge anti-ballistic missile technologies, including hypersonic weaponry to counteract the American threat. A large part of China’s defensive response includes the Russian S400 anti-missile system which is also being adopted by India, Turkey, Syria and the United Arab Emirates as a unified system which renders the American THAAD and ABM systems impotent and obsolete. Although unconfirmed, American generals have freaked out that China is building a joint China-Cambodia naval base in Preah Sihanouk Province that gives China easy access to coastal waters on the Gulf of Thailand and ready access to the South China Sea.
Hi
America’s military impotence when faced with the new cutting edge technologies unveiled by Russia and China was outlined in a recent report released by the US Studies Center at the University of Sydney which stated that “America no longer enjoys military primacy in the indo Pacific and its capacity to uphold a favorable balance of power is increasingly uncertain.” Referring to China’s advanced anti-aircraft weapons, the report says “Chinese counter-intervention systems have undermined America’s ability to project power in the Indo-Pacific region” which the authors say, could be rendered impotent within the first 8 hours of conflict.

Rather than use this information to propose a new security doctrine premised on cooperation and dialogue as China has offered on countless occasions, the report’s authors join the fantasy world of Esper calling instead for a “collective defense” strategy akin to a Pacific NATO, whereby all of America’s Pacific allies could join in an anti-Chinese military alliance together, and relieving America of the burden of carrying WWIII on its own.

We know that this Pacific NATO has been discussed for some time and was at the heart of recent Pacific Vanguard naval drills conducted between the USA, Australia, Japan and South Korea in May 2019 which saw the participation of 3000 soldiers, two Japanese destroyers, a South Korean destroyer and two Australian frigates in their first joint war game. This outlook was also behind the August naval drill played out by Malaysia, USA, New Zealand and Australia in Guam. The USA has 54 000 troops in Japan and 28 000 in South Korea.

When China and Russia conducted their first long range joint air patrol in the Asia Pacific in July 2019, South Korea and Japan scrambled jets to intercept the Chinese and Russian aircraft, with South Korea firing hundreds of warning shots. Backed up by the USA, both Asian countries screamed loudly (and without evidence) that their air space had been violated.

In response to the belligerent comments by Esper and the Australian report, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said “China is firmly on a path of peaceful development and our national defense policy is defensive in nature”. China has gone further by providing a cooperative framework under the Belt and Road Initiative which is built around the brilliant political agenda of providing diplomatic solutions to geopolitical points of tension through economic development strategies that enrich all participants. This approach has provided China great payback through the defusing of tensions with other nations claiming territory within the South China Sea- especially under the pro-BRI orientation of Malaysia’s Dr. Mahathir Mohammed and the Philippines’ President Duterte.

Not feeling at ease being caught in the crossfire of a nuclear exchange, Japan and South Korea have also gone so far as to create a new trilateral cooperation agreement with China on August 21 premised on “next generation exchange projects in three countries… We hope to discuss future-oriented partnerships and regional affairs, including North Korea.” The agreement also enables international join investment in all countries operating under the BRI framework. Together the three countries account for over a quarter of the world’s productivity and have everything to gain by working together.

Those American military officials promoting the obsolete doctrine of Full Spectrum dominance are dancing to the tune of a song that stopped playing some time ago. Both Russia and China have changed the rules of the game on a multitude of levels, and can respond with fatal force to any attack upon their soil with next generation weaponry beyond the scope of anything imagined by ivory tower game theorists in the west.

The ship of world history has changed course away from the rapids of war and economic collapse, as the Belt and Road Initiative has grown to proportions not imagined possible just a few years earlier and the coming months will be decisive as the west does some soul searching and decides which future it would like to have.

gypsyquokka I loved Pierre Trudeau too. Brought the Constitution home. There is a sculpture in Vancouver’s Stanley Park of Terry Fox. My comment was directed at Justin. I always loved Cuba and Cubans. Before their revolution, Cuba was run by the Mafia. I lived in Key West, Florida then and watched the revolution on TV since Cuba is only 90 miles away. Havana Bay, written by Martin Cruz Smith is a novel about post-soviet Cuba and an excellent mystery. Gives you the flavour of Cuban culture. My comment serves as an possible explanation of why Justin acts so extreme Liberal giving 60 million a year for Gay parades but leaves impoverished indigenous people and the homeless empty handed, lets in hordes of ISIS terrorists. Why? They already tried to assassinate Steven Harper.

Gos - Regarding The Oprah - Yes, I knew that she was from the South Side of Chicago - or should we say "The Dark Side". No, you won't find Darth Vader there - only death. I admire the Big O - she's amazing. I don't agree with her politics, but I understand where she's coming from. Typical shootings per weekend are between 25 to 50, mostly Black on Black. Brings a tear to my eye. The Politicians completely ignore this -especially the African-American ones - because embarrassment trumps solving the problem - or at least attempting to solve it. They jump all over a Police Officer shooting a young man in Fergusson (the cop was exonerated with several Black witnesses plus video of the young man robbing a store) and that just caused weeks of fiery rioting. Merely taking advantage of a sad circumstance for political gain. Yet they don't say a word about dozens of people shooting each other each weekend in South Chicago! What gives?!? And here is one of THE MOST SHOCKING POINTS - Chicago IS A GUN FREE ZONE!! REALLY - TRULY!! So much for taking self protection out of the hands of good people, while being unable to circumvent the use of guns by criminals. A Perfect Example for the Anti-Gun People to address.

Larry - "Nueva Ecija is the home of a big percentage of the Beauty Queens I see on TV it seems." Wow!! I did not know that. Well, it must have been particularly HARD on my future Bride - because she has always been unattractive. We are very honest with each other - she is not tough as nails - she is quite sensitive - but she is very strong! Oxymoron? No - she is strong and kind - not tough and mean. She grew up with a lot of cruel teasing and rejection from the other kids. Her mother was always cleaning houses, so she had to accompany her Mom and could not play with the others. She has incredible character. This is why I love her so. She can brighten up any room - by her sweet, kind, "Inclusive" nature - not her physical beauty. She stole me away from a true Beauty Queen who lives in General Santos. The Beauty was very sweet and nice - but quite shallow, selfish, immature. The Beauty was 27 but seemed 16. My Girl is 26 but seems almost 40 - in wisdom, with a very calm nature and incredible sense of humor. Yes, her character outshines by far any lack of a beautiful face. Besides wonderful character she does have another thing going for her - A ROCKIN' BOD!! She's tall, 5' 7" and trim with amazing long legs and a chest that enters the room about 30 seconds before the rest of her. We joke about this all the time. But that's not why I chose her. "Sure, Dark, sure!" No really. I only saw a head shot of her at a dating site and we typed messages back and forth a lot. Her quick wit and incredible sense of humor is what roped me in. I hope that I am not distracted by any Beauties in Nueva Ecija. I have noticed some of her friends are quite attractive.

darkfader24 I graduated from Hyde Park Academy High School (set in the Blackstone ghetto) in 1961 as the only White of about 4,000 students. Before that I was in a variety of Florida High Schools. I never had an altercation in Chicago with anyone, but in Bradenton Florida (segregation then) I fought 2-3 times a week. Taught myself how to fight watching cowboy movies on TV. There was complete hegemony in Florida based on how brutal you could be. Whereas in Hyde Park and Kenwood on Chicago’s South Side, I was welcomed. We lived on the next Street from Muhammad Ali (Cassius Clay) a draft dodger. I just couldn’t walk into the Ghetto at night. The West side was far worse. Blacks would help you out if your car broke down though. You could hail a Jitney cab and go anywhere in the South Side Ghetto (a car full of Blacks, mostly babes) for 20 cents and wait your turn to be dropped off. There were no guns or shootings during that time. However, in Englewood, they averaged 1,300 arsons annually & no arrests. That turf was controlled by the Disciples whereas my turf was controlled by the Rangers who protected me. When the Chicago cops massacred the Black Panthers in the 70’s, immediately afterwards there where gatherings where Black activists incited everyone to arm themselves. Guns arrived. I owned a shotgun. However there were never any riots in the 60’s or 70’s because the Chicago cops let the Rangers and Disciples run things (drugs, prostitution and gambling). No cabbie would ever drive you past South State Street even if they were Black. You had to take public transportation. Fatal if you were racist. There were executions by curbing where 10 or more gang members stomped you to death. No one ever went into the Parks, especially South Park. The cops would use packs of police dogs to break up fights. Notably, the University of Chicago is located on 57th Street where they invented the A Bomb, the world’s first Nuclear Reactor (graphite plating) which is Obama’s neighbourhood and where the Colombian Exhibition of 1893 was held, an upper class neighbourhood then before the Whites fled. 5th Army HQ there as well. Chicago is best known for the Haymarket Square riot on May 4, 1886 which established the Communism’s anniversary day as May 1. Chicago is a great city. Chicagoans are very friendly, They invented Pizza at Uno’s pizza near Chicago’s Water Tower and the first Playboy Club around the corner from my Dads offices (936 N. Michigan Ave) they then relocated across Michigan Avenue in the Palmolive Building. The Drake Hotel there was the first luxury hotel in the world to have a bathroom in every room. Great music scene. I went to Miles Davis, Muddy Waters and Eartha Kitt performances regularly. Saw Bob Dylan live & drunk as a Skunk, Herbie Hancock went to Roosevelt University, AKA the Chicago Music College, where he performed in the student cafeteria regularly. My Alma Mater, Dick Gregory ran for mayor in 1967, but if you voted Daley you got $5 or a gallon jug of wine.

Robertdav298 My guess is that there are political vulnerabilities that can be built into those algorithms through profiling with the use of vast databases. That’s how the Chinese do it. Facial recognition software is used by US police departments everywhere where a bodycam image gets the instant criminal record of anyone transmitted immediately to the cop. Picture ID is used everywhere. The UK is more advanced than the US and maps peoples faces at crowded choke points to search for radicals. Gun controls can be easily implemented though use of this technology as well as retinal scanning which most refugee camps (averaging about 80,000 people) now use for all purchasing instead of money. Congress needs to get on top of this to maintain democracy in elections as well as privacy regulations.

Larry - Yu completely misunderstand me. I was never anything but calm during my discourse. You didn't offend me in the slightest. I apologize if I gave that impression. Rather, I was impressed by your statement that Nueva Ecija was a center for Beauty Queens. I dig women so much that I hope I can keep my composure. I'm sure my Lady would have been picked on in any environment, but maybe it was worse there because of an abundance of "Lookers" - who knows. Dos - You have lived a very interesting Life. I'd like to hear more. And you spoke so many things about Chicago that I did not know. All I personally know about it is the inside of O'Hara Airport - which I have seen 20 plus times traveling from the West to the East. My Father was Native-American Injun - my Mom half-English and half-Polish. The Polish side came from Poland around 1905 approx. My Polish Great Grandfather became a Slum Lord there, is what I've heard. Very wealthy. Long family history there but outside of my Great Grandfather, and Grandmother, his daughter, I never met anyone. So, I have always had an interest in the place. I found it interesting that the Rangers protected you. Were they Black guys? If so, I find that astounding - even though I was somewhat protected on my block, which was all Black. We had each others back - in THAT block. Outside of that block - no one was safe - but me even less cuz I stood out like a sore Thumb. Gun usage came early in Philly. I was just going into Hi School when Uncle Sam taped my Step-Dad to go to Gallup, NM to work at the very large Injun Hospital there. I breathed a sigh of relief - cuz had we stayed I was going to go to an Inner City Philly Hi School where, the year before, gun violence had already broken out (1966). Thank God for small mercies!

darkfader24 I am half Polish/German & half Swedish (Viking blood). Being the only White in my Ghetto high school which was more like a big prison, I was adopted by my Black teachers and classmates. I had to tell them I came from (segregated) Florida. Their smiles disappeared briefly. Actually they were much further advanced academically, reading Chaucer (Old English) in grade 10. For the two years I attended there our basketball team played only twice since after 10 minutes of play a brawl began clearing the stands. We were suspended from competition. The big reason the Rangers took me under their wing ( they numbered about 15,000 all ages) was because being the only White & from a good family, the administration trusted me. So they asked me to work for their accountant doing the books and in the administration for maintaining records. I gave out passes to get someone in class who was tardy. The Rangers needed favours with certain records so some of their members could join the Army that never graduated. I fixed that because my survival was at stake. My guardian was like “Mr. T” who I saw at the McClary Sports Center in the loop, a futuristic affair. Never saw so many gold chains hanging off a thick neck before and about 15 beautiful (dental floss)-bikini clad babes in tow. The best gym in Chicago across from the Richmont Hotel. All the old speakeasy’s had been converted into bars within bars within bars where one bar has a featured rock star. Illinois recently legalised pot. I cannot imagine the effect on that, but maybe less shootings. They have the Chicago Housing Police where if you live in one of the projects (as most gang members do), the CHP raids them, and the crescendo of weapons hitting the pavement is deafening because you can’t have a gun in a project. The West side is worse than the South Side. They also have WHITE POWER neighbourhoods. There still is a colour line there South of Blackstone somewhere that block busting hasn’t changed, I.e renting to Blacks to scare off Whites and buy up devalued apartments.

Anyway - since you spent years in Chicago - did you ever hear of the band "Mason Profitt" on Warner Brothers Records? Or "The Talbot Brothers"? From Chicago and big in the 60s and early 70s. If you have, I want you to know that they are friends of mine. The older brother, Terry, and I have been good friends since February 1978 - 42 years now, since the first time that I mixed his Concert Audio. He lives in my town here in Central California - but we first started working together in Tucson, AZ. He comes into my studio 2 to 4 times a week, and we have logged many thousands of hours in the studio - and I have mixed him many times in Concert. He used to work at one of the greatest recording studios ever - Universal Recording Studios at 46 E. Walton Street. Many famous records were cut there, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Nat Cole, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Weather Report, Chicago Symphony, Stan Kenton, etc........ darkfader24 Yes, I heard of the Talbot Brothers. Not sure if I ever saw them. I went out so much. Best show I ever went to was at Mothers (tore it down unfortunately) where the Velvet Underground played Nico, Lou Reed, John Cale, Moe Tucker, Sterling Morrison, Doug Yule, Angus MacLise, At break they invited anyone who wanted to come to the men’s can for a shot of free H! The Green Door used to be a good for folk music, located in a brick building built in 1872. Near Navy Pier, good pub food now. But no Pizza in the world can beat UNO,’s, set below street level with about 90 years is signatures covering all the walls and ceilings. They have big Black Mama’s that make the thick pan pizzas that melts in your mouth. Prepare for a line-up though. cata you are naive to assume that Duterte and China aren’t going to do business together. The RP has been open for business with China for generations. The Chinese elite control banks and many industries. The Cojuangcos, Lucio Tan, Chan Lib and See Ying, are four of the 10 most powerful and wealthy families in the RP and Chinese. Huawai is everywhere here. Globe and PLDT have serious band width and transmission problems. There are dead zones in many areas of Toril and Davao. Does the US do business with Canada & Mexico? A report by AmCham on 2018 China Business surveyed 434 American companies between April and May 2018, and found that the majority of U.S. businesses in China are operating profitably.(Oct 10, 2018). It’s all about for profit capitalism. Together with its Chinese partners, General Motors sold 3.6 million vehicles in China last year, more than in the United States. GM brands, such as Cadillac, and Boeing remain very popular in China. (Aug. 2019). Why would you assume the RP would boycott China. The Chinese are spying on everyone in one way or another. No Western State is immune.

Easily done in all countries where this weakness doesn’t exist. Lots of guns in Canada, especially Alberta and the North. Polar Bears are killers not humans. Facial recognition software can instantly determine a criminal. So if you’re a criminal you wouldn’t get a gun except on the black market. Where does Mexico get its Guns? USA. Robertdav298
  9/13/2019 22:30 EST

GOS.....agree that the US must take weapons from the crazies and we need stronger background checks and the requirements needed to purchase a weapon.
However consider this, if a person wants to commit a crime or mass shooting THEY WILL FIND WEAPONS on the black market regardless of all of our precautions.
Remember this GUNS DO NOT KILL PEOPLE KILL.
Something else to consider weapons are smuggled in all the time across our southern border by the cartel network.

One cannot use other countries as an expample against the US because unfortunatley we have such a diverse population. We have people that enter our society for one reason to kill and commit crime.

Unfortunatley this is such a sensitive topic that it must be addressed at our highest level of government.

One last thing, I know people in the US that always tell me that the RP is a very dangerous country and that their government is so unstable.
I always reply that the RP is safer than the US because of the mere security you find everywhere. Malls, banks, schools and now even churches, there is always a security guard.

Question is, if they can do that here in the RP, then why can we not do that in the US?

The short answer is, if we tried that in the US, people would say it violates our cvil rights to have armed guards even at drug stores.....etc!
My answer is, have you ever tried to enter a government building in the US, the security is omnipresent.
So is our government buildings more important than our schools and colleges......I wonder?

I would love to get together with you and hear your stories. Robert - Security in the USA - could not agree with you more. I ran sound at a 3,500 person church. Big Orchestra, Rock Band, lots of Horns and Singers, etc. Had a huge 80 Channel Console, and speaker system. There were a minimum of 5 men at all times, sometimes more, with Carry/Conceal permits, guns hidden under long T-Shirts, Locked and Loaded.

One of the guys came up to me once and said "Guess who we are trained to protect the most here - number one Priority? Pastor and you - equal priority - cuz we need the P.A. System up to make emergency instructions from hidden places with wireless mics." They started implementing this way back around 2007. They were waaay ahead of the game. This was here in Fresno CA.

Of course not BUT and this really bothers me why in GODS name don't the people in charge AT ALL LEVELS do something about this......surely someone has the answer?

As you said, Columbine could have been the start of school shootings but what about OK CITY?

Think about all the administrations that we have had all talking about gun control and squabbles with the NRA and the first and second amendments.

Sometimes I wonder if this is all planned and a revolution of sorts is coming? Did Nakita Kruchev have a crystal ball in 1962 when he said " mother Russia does not have to worry about America because they will destroy each other from within".

These on- line sub subversive murdering suicide mission types have become popular anti-hero myths that attract immoral looser garbage. Aggression is adaptive. Counter aggression, “i.e. getting someone back for their rejection or narcissistic insult, for what they did to you” is always extremely aggressive and much more violent. He had worked the substantial mortuary for 40 years or so. He said that he could almost always pinpoint a homosexual lovers' quarrel murder - especially the males - who were so much stronger, and more emotional than the lesbians - even though the women were also quite emotional. Rejection / or cheating in the Male Camp elicited stabbings in the hundreds on the other person's body. And more than just stabbings. Flat out ripping/tearing with the knife. He said that was no brutality like it in the other murders. Scary.

I had to do over 200 take downs a year to control violent patients long enough for the nurses to IM inject them with 500 mg of chlorpromazine which then took 50 minutes to take effect. I do have a little Judo and had to use the bare naked choke twice when I had no back up and faced a life or death outcome. No worries about me, and hopefully we can meet up and have some beers together. As RobertDav knows, I also worked 17 years with 116 of the 169 indigenous people’s bands in British Columbia mostly in the back country and on remote coastal areas. But the Federal Government began swindling them for 10 years and (because I don’t do swindling) they got two of my flaming arrows in their back before I quit. Sweet payback. I know that Robert and Surf have been/are Military - and could fill volumes with what they've seen. Amazing stuff! I wish we could all get together around a camp fire on a beach, roast hot dogs on a stick, drink some cold ones, and just share Golden Experiences. We would laugh our butts off, and probably hear some chilling stuff, too. This would be a Dream for me - fire light flickering off our faces, and waves breaking in the background for great ambiance. The experience would be awesome for me!

As to China, they've allowed massive shipments of fentynal to be sent to America, which would never be allowed in their own country. People would be shot. It's being sent to non medical, non licensed, drug-dealers who are multiplying like flies and killing hundreds of people who overdose constantly on this powerful drug. This is not for their GDP, and it is classical aggressive activity similar to Japanese before WW11. "You don't have to be a weatherman to know which way the wind is blowing." Moot, The Chinese are trying to destroy United States, with various drugs. They are going through Port city‘s, airports, and the southern border. At this point it’s almost unstoppable. They will flood United States with various street drugs like never before. It will weaken the resolve of the United States and its ability to defend itself. This plan, has been ongoing for the last 10 years. It has been discussed routinely within inside circles, within the Chinese communist party. A well-known fact. Your president, knows this as well. MACTAN....since you live on Mactan I thought I would share this little tidbit as it concerns the Chinese.

Last saturday my wife and I were celebrating our anniverary at the Shangrila Resort in Mactan. We were eating our dinner when all of a sudden, music began to play, all of the waiters and chefs came out and formed a welcoming line, clapping hands and singing. I thought maybe D30 was here unannouced as he has been known to do.
Well we saw this older Chinese gentlemen with several young ladies accompanying him, we thought maybe a movie star or dignitary.

As it turns out the gentlemen was a wealthy CHINESE INVESTMENT TYCOON.

LarryKar. Bong Go
Go was born on June 14, 1974. He is a grandson of August Tesoro, whose father founded one of the largest printing press in Davao City. Go attended De La Salle University and graduated with a Management degree. He was a basketball star. He is reported to have Chinese ancestry. He has been Duterte’s personal aide since 1998. I believe he will run for President based on the fact that Duterte has an approval rating of 78% (SWS)..Philippine citizens are overwhelmingly satisfied with President Rodrigo Duterte's bloody war on drugs, a survey showed, giving a boost to a government outraged by an international push to investigate allegations of systematic murders by police. The quarterly poll of 1,200 Filipinos by Social Weather Stations returned a rating of "excellent" for Duterte's three-year campaign, with 82% satisfied due to a perception of less drugs and crime in the country. Pragmatism rules.

RE Hong Kong. My gal worked there for 12 years. We have many Filipino friends and she still keeps in touch with her old employer. The Philippine Consulate issues frequent notices of the " best guess" as to where the hot spots will be that day/week. Warning Filipinos to stay away from both the protesters ,and lately they have added the police. Read into that what you wish. The old line Hong Kongers like my gal's former employer thought it would end " when those kids go back to school". Nope. While my Solidarity is with anyone fighting for democracy I have repeatedly said that closing down airports, fire bombing the police and government buildings, trying to blind police with laser lights, etc etc is not how you win. I also do not know how you win against China. It is telling that they have not released the Chinese Garrison yet. If this was Tiawan or Macau they would have by now. But I fear the worst is coming any moment. Just glad that Trump and the US Congress are distracted right now. They will not help only stir the pot.

LarryKar
  10/1/2019 23:34 EST

I can only agree Robert. The irony is that a big part of the reason for the protest but nobody makes bumper stickers or signs about is the kids feeling so hopeless as to finding really good jobs, housing they can afford, etc. Yet by what they are doing shutting down airports, closing public transportation, rampaging in malls and shopping areas, setting fires in the financial district they are destroying the Hong Kong that they grew up in and we as tourists came to love. Where do they think the good jobs will come from in a ghost town?

Continual corruption and neglect creates a final reaction with enormous consequences. We have moderators here, to halt the unquenchable desire for some to exploit the majority. It's the same in government. Veterans understand this much more than the average citizen. Last week Mexico uncovered over 30 tons of Fentanyl on ship from Shanghai destined for USA using criminals. The reaction of Duterte will happen in America to the deliberate 'drug' demoralization in the Philippines. It's only natural. A peculiar similarity to Pearl Harbor, more subtle and more serious, is now occurring in U.S. by C.China. and elsewhere. There will be a dramatic reaction. (Of course, China can't change its name, and then continue the same BS.) Duterte is correct.

I'm glad I have the last word on this enormous column. Analysis of communism is implicit to examine China's threat. The Marxist adheres to dialectical-materialism; the foundation of physical science. What they consider inevitable they promote in a secret manner. As I stated, the saturated and decadent lifestyles of the West make it prone to 'drugs, sex, and rock and roll'. China is using that. Liberal idiocy hands out welfare,($600 ?),, while robbing our banks like the Bidens did. Without understanding the constant centralization of all capital, it is difficult to make sound economic decisions. "Gee, this feels good!" Look up the banker, Jakob Fugger and his conflict in Germany with Luther. It's unique. (Ipso facto: "Fear God and keep his commandments." and watch out for China.)

When he was on their basketball team in the mid-1980s under Lute Olson, we were SO VERY Proud of him, and all "The Gumbies". Steve had lost his father to Mid-Eastern extremists and had overcome much to become such an amazing Ball player. He was the one that pretty much led the charge in College Basketball "3 Pointers". Now, it is common due to him. He had a good career that we have watched closely these many years. He was with Sir Charles Barclay and the Phoenix Suns, The Indomitable Chicago Bulls with Michael Jordan and other greats, and at least one other good team. He has done an incredible job leading the Golden State Warriors - and for me that is awesome, as he is just down the road from me in Sacramento. But his recent comments have me in absolute shock! I worked for the YMCA as a youth club organiser to attract young Blacks away from the gangs with free YMCA memberships where there was a nice indoor basketball court. Robert- I am with you, bring the American troops home is a difficult decision, but the only decision. Enough coffins and American kids pushing up daisies.
Canada depends on the Americans for military defense. I don’t think this will change anytime soon. We have well train troops however Canada, like many other allies, depend on the military mate of the United States. Turning their back on Canada, could give the Russians and China and opportunity on your doorstep. The best for the USA is to keep Canada close, like a brother.

I was stationed at Clark AFB. Christianity is not discombobulated, America is. The rabid excitement of Progressives 'liberating' every aberration known to mankind and creating laws to protect it, reveals a lack of historical memory. Ancient Greece, Rome, Imperial France (Marquis De Sade), and Great Britain eventually collapsed and the sign, not the cause, was the mindless decadence. Recent D. Presidential candidate suggested removing tax privileges for religion if objection to aberrations did not stop. But Christianity will emerge and flourish in communist china, if America rejects it.

Rebtop - No, I don't believe that ALL of America's actions in the World are altruistic. I think that SOME of them are. I think it all depends on who in Washington DC is behind any particular maneuver - that is what makes that particular thing good or bad. You may find this hard to believe, but America does actually help people, sending food, medical supplies, personnel, medical people - into areas hurt by tragic situations, whether acts of nature or acts of men. No, not everything that America does is good. Some of it is well intentioned - yet screws everything up with it's consequences. Some of it turns out well. That's why I say we need to mind our own business - and very carefully consider our involvement in situations - especially political ones in other countries. I think that we need to build up our resources at home so that we are ready for disasters both here and abroad, You never know when tragedy will strike. I couldn't be happier over the fact that we are now "Oil Independent". We no longer need to depend solely on the oil of Saudi Arabia - and those that would wish us harm.

I'm glad that he called Countries to task for reneging on their NATO "Dues", leaving us to carry an inordinate amount of the load. That's me as a Tax Payer, and you, too, if you're an American. I'm glad that he is evening out the playing field in regards to China - who also steal so much Tech from us it's ridiculous, and have been allowed to make trade deals heavily leaning in their favor. As a Native-Mexican-American (Tarahumara Tribe / cousins to the Pimas and Apaches), I am very happy that he is attempting to stop the flow of unvetted people, drugs, disease, and crime into our Sovereign Nation, across our Sovereign Border (MS-13, Drug Cartels, Chinese Fentanyl). I love the opportunity for people to come here legally, to "Assimilate" into our culture, to come to an understanding of what American Freedom is all about and WHAT IT COST TO OBTAIN IT, AND MAINTAIN IT. I love having fresh new blood come into the country, with innovation and positivity - TO CONTRIBUTE - not come for Freebies and handouts that I have to fund. "That which is easily obtained is lightly esteemed."

By comparison to the British or Canadian parliamentary systems of multi-parties and daily open debate in the house where the Prime Minster MUST hold a majority. However the cabinet are gofers. Both country ruled mostly by the PM and the Chief of the Privy Council. America would benefit from open debate in the house instead of buying dirt on political opponents from foreign countries, FIX news, and Executive Orders and pardons. Rebtop - It's not Christianity that is the problem. It is people hiding within it that are evil that are the problem. The Founder of Christianity, Jesus, never hurt a Soul. He was kind, and healing, self-sacrificing and loving. He set an amazing example. The few that have followed His example have proven what people can become when yielded to Him. They feed the poor, Doctors sacrifice time and safety to fly to people to help heal them - people who cannot repay them, Christians who build schools and homes for the poor, etc. You don't ever hear about them - because the only news that sells is Bad News. There are evil power hungry ones that used the Church to control and destroy others. They were/are power hungry. Whether a Priest having power over a little girl or boy and sexually abusing them, or someone torturing a person to get them to comply with a doctrine, like in the Spanish Inquisition, these people will one day stand before Almighty God and have to answer for their sins, their cruelty, their unjust behavior. Here's a scripture - Galations 6:7 "Do not be deceived. God IS NOT Mocked! Whatsoever a man sows (plants), that shall he also reap." Sounds kinda like Karma, or "What goes around comes around." If a person hurts someone - they will answer for it. If they do it in God's name - WHOA!! I don't want to be that person!! Christianity is to be "Christ - Like." We need to look at Christ. Yeah, it's corny but "What would Jesus do?" Seriously - He would probably reach out and hug someone, feed someone, help someone, LOVE Someone. THAT is Christianity. I agree with you - precious few have followed the example. That is the fault of those THAT CLAIM to be followers of Christ - and yet are anything BUT. Jesus said "By their fruit, you shall know them." In other words, if they don't do "What Jesus would do" - then they really are NOT His followers - no matter what they say!!

darkfader24
  10/16/2019 17:47 EST

Moot - Good call. Ephesians 2:8 "For by Grace (unmerited favor) are you saved through Faith..... not through good works...." Good works are beautiful and necessary - it's just that they won't save someone. They give occasion for pride and boasting. They should be an adjunct, an "add on" to our relationship with God. But the relationship, through salvation, only comes from His benevolence - which we can freely access by believing. It's beautiful because it lifts a great burden - an impossible burden - off of our shoulders. God does the heavy lifting. We get to enjoy - like a Christmas gift from a Father to a child.

That sounds like Adam Schiff reading Trump's phone call to the Ukrainian President which had nothing to do with what was really said. You should see a side by side comparison. He read this as if it were fact both to Congress and the American People. He later back pedaled saying it was a "Parody". He did not present it that way. He did not laugh, chuckle, or even smile. He looked vehement - and many across the country took him seriously. It wasn't cute or funny, but was meant to deceive. He had to have known that someone would eventually "Whistle Blow" on him, because it was beyond obvious to anyone who saw the actual transcript. To quote you - He was reading his opinion with no basis in fact. I guess that would make him a moron. Do you stand by him?

Goslig

darkfader24 I think it’s a bit early to be passing judgement on the Ukraine drama. Let the State Department officials testify and Congressional committees do their investigation and report. darkfader24. Barr prohibits the FBI to investigate law breaking in the Ukraine scandal when there is ample evidence of it being testified from State Department officials. The Southern District of New York has also uncovered many crimes associated with this too. Barr refuses to act on Prima Facia evidence of criminal activity by Donald Trump and other White House officials, primarily the “three amigos” and Rudy Giuliani. Prior impeachment investigations were conducted behind closed doors by the DOJ Barr refuses to allow this, so Congress has taken up the role of behind closed door investigation. Watch something besides FIX News on YouTube. Come out of denial. Look at the mess Trump has made in Syria. Ask the head of the joints chief of staff about the wisdom of that decision. Even hard core Trump supporters are completely opposed to it. Getting Trump to admit he’s made a really stupid decision is like getting a bone from a dog.
