I am french and I study economics in Germany. I am really interested in Eastern Europe and I am looking for a practice training in a firm in Poland for next January. I am learning polish but I can''t really speak it well yet. Did some of you experienced something like this in Poland? Have you got any idea to help me to find my practice training ? " Florence, I presently live in Warsaw, Poland and have been here for 18months. I would be happy to help, if at all possible. First of all, what kind of training would you like to do? Secondly, clarify the visa requirements before you enter - the immigration laws in Poland change all the time, so you need to be aware of this. There are some English publications here in which you could seek employement/training positions. Check out www.wbj.pl ( Warsaw Business Journal ). Where in Germany are you? There are several large German companies/banks presently located in Warsaw, perhaps you could contact their head office in Germany, as well as their branches in Poland. If you tell me specific companies which interest you, I will try to find out who you need to contact here in Warsaw. I would also contact the German embassy here, perhaps they could provide you with a list of German companies here. I believe their number is + 48 22 617 30 11. You could also contact the Goethe Institute here, tel. number +48 22 620 02 11. Good Luck - please feel free to email me with any other questions. Kind Regards, Susan Tillier tillier@it.com.pl "

" That address for the very helpful Polish group that ""knows everything"" is polang@yahoogroups.com. As I said, I believe you just need to have a current letter of health from you vet, but you should have your travel agent check. "
