I will be moving to Krakow later this year. Any references can be obtained from Mr Jacek Czepcek, owner of the Hotel Europejski, on Lubicz Street, near Krakow Glowny. I would be interested in being a tour guide anywhere in Malaposka.

Tour guides in Poland are regulated by the government. In addition to passing a test, one must have substantial experience, which is why you occasionally see someone holding up a sign "free tour".
What is your Plan B?

Well, if you have 18 years in the travel industry, the answer is staring you in the face. Instead of thinking "local tour guide," you should depend upon your existing talents and create a situation for yourself in Poland. I'm not saying it won't be a lot of work, but i suspect you could be the most successful in this type of situation.
