What is the best/cheapest way to connect to the internet from an apartment in Lisbon? I understand that there is a charge for local phone calls. Is cable internet access available or 2 way satellite service? Thanks.

I imagine you''ve already discovered what I am about to tell you but...i used netc (free via local telephone call connection) for awhile until I found that the charges on my telehone bill were getting out of hand (c. 9.000 PTE). I changed to Netcabo''s cable modem access and have been satisified. There are several plans. The plan I am using is the residential package the monthly charge for which is about 10.000 PTE (including TV Cabo charges of 3.500 - they will not separate them into two bills - I tried very hard to get them to). hopethishelps (dot com)
