Marrying a Portuguese Guy

Hi...I'm an American who's engaged to a Portuguese guy. He's currently studying and working here in Chicago.

We'd like to get married here, but plan to move to Portugal in late 2004/2005.

We'd both like to be able to work in both countries.

We'd like to become citiznes (rather than residents) of each other's countries....though have no clue if dual-citizenship exists....we basically have no idea where to start.

Any help, advice, websites, anything would be greatly, greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

dual citizenship does exist - but the portuguese are much much more bureaucratic then americans.
I have a eurpean passport (german) and I live in the US right now - part time in Portugal with a Brazil/American Husband.
It has been a challenge - but worth it!!!
