I moved to Portugal one year ago from the US. I hired the services of a moving company in the US. They arranged everything - moving my belongings from my apartment, loading them on a ship, etc. They also arranged for a Portugese company to receive my goods at the dock in Lisbon and transport them to my residence here in Portugal.

I suggest you look for a moving/relocation company in Paris. Moving companies are notorious for not providing what they promise and charging much higher rates than what they originally promised. So check them out thoroughly and get references if possible. As an alternative, you may consider trucking it yourself. More reliable and cheaper. Paris to Lisbon is about 2500 km.
