Hi guys.
Just a question:
What is the fastest way to travel in lisbon from the airport to Baxia/Chiado on an early January day, monday morning around 9 AM ? Is it a taxicab ? Is it using metro ? I am afraid if I pick a taxi the rush hour will slow it down a lot.
Thank You

Fastest: taxi; it could take you 20-30 mins maximum. Least expensive: AeroBus from terminal to Cais de Sodre station for a few euros and 45 mins maximum. Does this help, or do you have other considerations (such as luggage, etc)?

thank you very much.
the reason i asked is because the specialized site of the transportation organization says by metro you need 30 minutes, there is no waiting in traffic and it costs 1.25 only.
is this true ?

The metro from Lisbon Airport is on the Red Line...you would take the Red Line to either: Almeda Station, and transfer free to the Green Line to reach the Baixa/Chiado station or to the Sao Sebastio station, a free transfer to the Blue Line to Baixa/Chiado. Yes, the fare is about 1.70 euros right now (due to rise slightly in January). It could take 25 mins depending on how quickly you make your connecting trains. All quite clean, good directions, safe. Taxis are prone to overcharge you, so the issue with a taxi isn't the time but rather the cost, which should be about 15 euros but never is!
