Husband and I buying a home in Terceira, Azores, was wondering if any expats or others living there temporarily, who either chat about their experiences there or have a meeting place for coffee, including military in Lages.

Hey there TomMaria. It may be a bit late of a response but we (my wife and I) just became members here.

We are currently living on Terceira near Praia Da Vitoria. We've been here for just under a year now and love it.

If you have anything specific to ask I'll do my best to answer it. As far as meeting places near Lajes, there are a couple right outside the gates but our favorite cafes are in Praia.

Thank you for responding, I finally came back to check these messages. We will be there in August for a few weeks and will be checking things out. We will be in the other side of the island opposite Praia, my cousins actually live just minutes from the base.
