expat from US currently residing in Colombia. Will be visiting Lisbon and Porto in early Nov. Do the atm's there require new chip technology or will the ols style non chip US card still work? In Colombia its pretty much all chip cards with a few holdouts and I'm having a heck of a time with my US banks to get me a new card. Thank you for any info..it will help

You can use the older version US credit cards but you must notify your card provider so you're not closed out of your account by them. And, does your card add international transaction fees? You can avoid those as so many have removed that restriction.
