Hi, my husband and I moved to Lisbon last fall from the U.S. and are now trying to find a trustworthy international mover. This is harder than I expected, as I keep finding terrible reviews online written by customers of the companies that I am looking into, or, alternatively, requesting a quote from a company and then having them give me such a lowball quote that I wouldn’t dare trust them. We want to either fill a 20” container or maybe have a mover crate about 700-800 cubic feet of our stuff and then we would share a container. I wonder if anyone who has done this (from the U.S. especially) would share your experience with shipping household goods and furniture, and give recommendations of moving companies to try or to avoid?
