Seeking advice on private maternity hospitals in Lisbon and best areas to rent a house for expat families

Hi,

My husband and I will be moving to Lisbon at the end of September 2016 - 6 weeks before I am due to give birth.

We will have comprehensive private medical insurance through his company so price is no object.

I would be most grateful if anyone could recommend the best private maternity hospital/s in Lisbon so I can make contact with them prior to our arrival?

I would also very much appreciate any advice on best family friendly suburbs/areas to rent a house? Preferably outside of Lisbon with good transport links for commuting to Lisbon for work.

Many thanks,
Adline

Hello Adline,

please check this one: http://www.hospitaldaluz.pt/lisboa/en/
This is the best private hospital in Lisbon.
Regarding area near Lisbon, I offer you to look in Cascais/Estoril. The place is very nice and close to Lisbon. Good transport connection and great facilitis and condition to walk with a child.

If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Best regards,
Olga Romanyuk

Dear Adline

I hope this message finds you well.

First of all, let me tell you that Portugal is a beautiful place to raise a child.

Regarding your questions, please note that I have two clients who gave birth at Hospital da Luz, in Lisbon, and they liked a lot.

Regarding the best places to live, it would depend... How far you want to be from Lisbon? Do you want to leave by the sea?

I look forward to hear from you.

Kind regards
