Opening bank account online

Ola! I'm wondering if there is a Portuguese bank where an account can be opened online without having to appear in person in Portugal? I plan to move next year but need to prove that I have a bank in Portugal before obtaining my visa.

To Willow415's question about a opening a bank account without being in Portugal: Are you an American citizen, Willow? Then the answers are "no" and "no". For American citizens, there is NO requirement to have a PT bank account in order to get your visa. Opening a bank account requires one's NIF or "numero de contribuente", from the Portuguese office of finances, which must be done in person. If you need more info on requirements to obtain your visa, please research this site under the Visas and Immigration section.
