Has anyone imported a car from the uk? My understanding is that you can have the car in Portugal for 3 months. Then you need to go through the process of registering it or I suppose have it registered in time for that 3 month date.
I understand that there is no cost on your 1st import. However if you wish to import more than 1 car then you will pay the import tax on that and any further cars. Does anyone know how this calculated. What is the % you need to pay if it works like that?
Also I imagine it's not as simple as driving over the border and back every three months so if a car can only stay 3 months without registration than how long does it have to be out of Portugal before it can return.
