" How important is direct experience working in Middle East from the perspective of an employer? It makes sense to me that with the costs of relocating, etc, employers would be very interested, but how much is enough, compared to the competition? How hard is it to get that first break? I''ve spent about a week at each of the following three locations on business, UAE (Abu Dhabi), Saudi Arabia (Riyadh) and Egypt (Cairo) so I have some familiarity with the region. Outside the region I have over 20 years experience in facility management & construction management (buildings not refineries) based on my Bachelor degree in Architectural Science and my Master of Science in Project Management, so I''m no rookie. I am currently pursuing a variety of possible sources of job info. So, what do you think my chances are? All comments welcome. Any other job leads appreciated "
