Best way to post stuff from Qatar to the UK?

Hi,
Could anybody advise me on the best method of posting letters or small parcels from Doha to the UK please? We used DHL last time due to lack of alternatives and they charged us a small fortune so any help would be greatly appreciated!!

There are a few post offices around. Qatar Postal Services.
I posted books to the UK on speed post yesterday. They should arrive in 3 days. Cost me 85QR.
Apart from the main PO on the Corniche there is one opposite FFC just off Al Sharmal. There is also one at North Duhail close to the Giant Hypermarket.
