How soon do you need to do the transfer ?
Are you moving to Romania, or simply need the car transported there ?

The best way IMO, would be for YOU to drive it yourself.
Especially since this would give you some added training on driving "on the wrong side of the road", :-))) ....which I have sneak suspicion, you'll get to do plenty should you live in Romania for a while
It would also give you the unbeatable benefit of seeing Europe from the ground level.

You could also put an add that you are looking for a driver "one way" from UK to Romania.( Romanian Newspapers, or even inquire locally in the Romanian Community )
I imagine that a few hundred quid should do the trick since your driver could also have a mini holiday, and some money for petrol in the process.

You could also check with the maritime lines. Sometime they have spots for cars on the deck, and since you don't go through a middleman the price should be sizably lower.

I drove mine here myself. Cost about £700 including Tunnel, Petrol, Road tolls and Hotels.
