Criminal history for employment in Romania

I am currently living in Bucharest and received a job offer by a company in Romania. I need to provide "cazier judiciar" and "cazier fiscal" to be hired. Through which agencies have you gone through? Which specific documents have you provided? And what kind of timeline can I expect for the employment visa process. Thank you, in advance, for any information you can share.

I have no experience with job agencies in Romania. I recommend to ask for consultation at the Big Five like KPMG or Deloitte. If you are a Europeean it should be no problem to start the job within short time.

Hi Andrew. The "cazier" is a piece of paper from police stating that you have no criminal record and it is common to be asked for one when you get a job in Romania. We normaly get it from police of the city we live in. But i don't know if there is such a document in your country so, i think only expats that already had to deal with this piece of classical romanian bureaucracy could help you with more information.

Hi Raluca2410,
it is very common for important jobs in the EC to ask for the legal status of the candidate; especially for important jobs with the state buerocracy in Germany for example. It is justified that an employer wants to know about the legal status of the candidate in cases where trust is important , for example for the job as accountant. So this is really is not a "Romanian bueroceacy " !
