retiring in Romania in abot 6 weeks. I am Canadian citizen my wife is romanian. can I get a long term residency card . if so how do I go about it thanks

You're married to a Romanian? There shouldn't be any problem. I'd check with your nearest Romanian Consulate for details.

You must apply for a Long stay D/VF Family Reintegration visa. After you receive the visa you can then travel to Romania and obtain a Permis de Sedere (Residence Permit) allowing you to stay 1 year, which is renewable up to 5 years.
