Hard to Find Unfurnished House for Rent in Sibiu Area

Dear All,

We're planning to relocate to Sibiu and bring our own furniture with us.

We plan to rent a house, but unfortunately after hours of looking up real estate websites, we can't find unfurnished houses to rent in Sibiu, just the one or the other by sheer luck and mostly because they are still in renovation/ build stage.

Is it that uncommon to move to a new place with your own furniture in Romania? Can someone advise us how to find unfurnished houses for rent in Sibiu?

I believe most houses and apartments are personal residences kept when someone dies or temporarily moves. They are not investment properties as Americans may understand. I've even seen apartments rented out for years that have full bookshelves and incidental personal items. I'd put your stuff in storage for the short term and settle into life there while you explore options.
