Hello All, Are there any expats here in Moscow from the USA, England, Australia, New Zealand, Canada that are in search of a full-time or part-time teaching position? I work for a language school called General Linguistic in the center of Moscow (www.gling.ru) and we are looking for interested and qualified teachers to join our team. If you are interested in more information, please contact me. Thanks!

I might have to leave Europe for 90 days because my schengen visa is expiring. I might be coming to Russia or Ukraine for that duration.
Can a person actually make a living (not just grimly survive) teaching or tutoring English?
Or, perhaps more importantly, can an American easily work in other occupations (even entry-level) if one speaks no Russian nor has a work-permit yet?
Thanks!

I'm still in the USA. Where do we begin? I don't have an ESL certification, but have a degree in engineering.

hi robert/trev i am definately interested in some kind of teaching work in moscow as i have just returned again from 2 weeks in moscow i am married to a russian teacher and while i am there i usually help out with a few private lessons but i am not a qualified teacher ive looked at doing tefl courses but im working during the day in the uk and chatting with wife in skype at night . ive found teaching people english very satisfying and had never even considered before i met my wife. its a huge problem to actually apply to stay longer than 2 weeks unless you have some kind of 'proper' job there we have only been married a few weeks and im not sure how if at all this affects things i actually started looking on here for more info about staying longer when i saw your ad. my name is paul im 44 years old hope to hear back from you soon .
