" The answer depends on the husband''s employer. Most contracts are classified as either ""accompanied"" or ""unaccompanied"". If the contract is specified as ""accompanied"" the husband''s employer will take care of the necessary visa procedures, provide air tickets for the wife, as well as health insurance benefits in the Kingdom, and usually larger living quarters as well. If the contract is ""unaccompanied"", it is still possible for the wife to join her husband (providing the husband''s sponsoring company does not object). However, in this case, the husband is usually required to handle the visa procedures himself, and well as to pay for all expenses out of pocket. In any case, there will be a period of 4 to 10 weeks (based on personal experience) between the time the husband arrives in Saudi, and the necessary paperwork is completed for the wife. Hope this helps. Dave "
