I have lived in Europe and East Africa as a youngster (expat parents). Never been to the middle east however. Currently, I live in Florida so I''m sure Alkhobar is not like South Beach, I have accepted that :-) In reading some of the postings on the forum, I gather that most people''s lives are centered around the compound they live in. Is that the case? If so, what are the demographics of these communities? I guess I''m just wondering about what to expect.
