Hi Friend,
Sorry, I could have replied u before, if I had seen your message. But, unfortunately, I found this site just now and trying to reply with a hope that you might have accepted the job already.
Yes, in saudi arabia, gay life is not allowed and can invite death sentence if being caught. But, it is prevalent in the society by and large within the four walls with the consent of people interested. But, considering the nature of the society in saudi, apparently, expats are not much into this activity, barrying a few.
Accepting a job in Aramco is recommended as you will have moreover a normal life with Aramco where you people (US citizens) are having a more liberal life than anybody else. But, don't expect a similar life or its 50% here in Saudi when u come with a new assignment. Rest is okay and after spending sometime, if u do not feel comfortable u can go back terminating your contract as well.
If you need more information about the life in saudi arabia, pls do not hesitate to contact me on my email ID johnykutty_chn@hotmail.com.
Best of luck John
