in Saudi Arabia, celebrating events other than the two Islamic Official Holidays "Eid Fetr and Eid Ad'ha" is prohibited in public. the National Day is an exception since 2005. Any kind of showing such celebrations in public is prohibited, e.g. in stores, trees, lights... etc.

i'll make a big cake on 31Dec night at my house, you are all welcome* :)
