Your sponsor has to put in a request for a visa for you, so as I see it, they are asking for a visa on your behalf. True - you still have to fill in the paperwork and supply the medical documentation. However, it might be a good idea to find out why you are being denied a visa to these countries. Perhaps it is simply that you have an Israeli stamp in your passport. You certainly can't have proof of having been in Israel and a Saudi visa in the same passport.

There was no way to get a straight answer as to why though. I never got to speak to more than a low-level ofice guy who had nothing to do with the matter.
