Hi there. I have been in Saudi about one month now and also new to working abroad like this (from Ireland). Don’t know anything about the company but Al Khobar is quite a good spot. I am living/working up in Jubail which has less to offer than Khobar. I think most Jubail based expats would agree that. There are very smart shopping malls in Khobar and a nice Corniche. Haven’t been down to the Corniche but I gather it is a pleasant place. Khobar is also handy to go to Bahrain where I spent the weekend past. Really liked Bahrain and would hope to go there once in a while for a change of scenery from Jubail.

I think there are good schools around Khobar but I am out on bachelor status. I chose to go down that route but whatever is best for you and your family – we are all different. Can’t comment on the salary - I am in a different line of work.
