Post New Topic

I would like to find out where one could horseback riding lessons or simply ride for pleasure in the Riyadh area, for my wife, who is an avid horsewoman, riding instructor and equine masseuse.

Any information would be appreciated, including facility location, riding styles, availability, costs, etc.

Thanks very much,
Robert

We ride out that Dirab Golf Club.

Although it is quite a drive out to Dirab, I think it's worth it. The riding is out in the desert and one can book rides for one or two hours. We have also been offered three hours. The horses are mostly Arabians and are in good health and excellent condition. When one rides out it is with a guide who is there mostly just to show you the way.

Once you are beyond the gates of the golf club it is entirely abaya free.

If you need any further information let me know.

Thanks very much! Information appreciated.

1. How much is rental?

2. Where is this located? Do you have a map or GPS coordinates, or directions?

Thanks again.

You can google Dirab Golf Club and there is a map. There isn't a lot of information about the stables, but they are very nice. If you happen to have a horse of your own you can also stable it there.

As for prices:
200SAR for one hour hack
350SAR for two hours.

Prices are a litle cheaper than what we were used to in France. As I said before, horses are of a good standard.

There is also a possibility of another stable in the Dirab area with the ACR (American Community of Riyadh), although I have no personal experience with them. They advertise lessons, stable management and hacks. Something I plan to look into in the near future.
