I lived in scotland for 3+ years and very much want to come back to live.
Am trying to find a way to establish myself in Scotland and make a living. Most conventional jobs require a work visa which is difficult to negotiate.
Does anyone know if I can get employment as a salesperson on a commission basis in order to support myself, and whether I could work as a commissioned salesperson without a visa, due to the fact that my earnings are commission rather than salary.
Thanks for any light you can shine on this subject.

Actually I looked into this when my company was thinking about moving me to Scotland. If you can get a job with a company that does not have a presence in the UK or EU, you can apply for a "sole representative" visa. Here is the link to information about it...

Good luck.
