Does anyone know what kind of certification is necessary to land a job teaching in Scotland? If a specific area is necessary we are thinking the Glasgow area. Thanks!

Firstly, to teach in Scotland you must be registered with the "General Teaching Council in Scotland".

Their website contains advice for those who have qualified outside Scotland and I would suggest this would be your best starting point.

The "Teaching in Scotland" website also provides useful info on everything from salary scales to case studies of those who have moved to Scotland to teach.

Good Luck!
