I am Swiss and I would like to meet other Swiss people who live in Edinburgh. I wonder if there is a Swiss community where people meet up once in a while for a drink or to celebrate the Swiss National Day (1st August).

Hello,
I'm not Swiss (I'm Italian), but I love and admire Switzerland, where I lived and worked last year for 6 months...
I'm actually trying to move from the UK back to Switzerland, but so far I found very difficult to find a job there, with no knowledge or French, and only basic knowledge of German.
I would like to meet other Swiss people who live in Edinburgh, so that we can talk about the peculiarities of the Swiss democratic institutions, about the cultural differences between German/French/Italian Swiss people, etc...

welcome to the Swiss-Scottish community :-)

I will try and arrange a meet-up sometime soon. Would be great to get in touch with other Swiss people. I'm just very busy at the moment with my studies but perhaps in a few weeks we can meet up?

Do you speak Swiss-German too or just Swiss-French?
