" I am leaving the UK on 15 April, with my very anxious and newly pregnant daughter-in-law, along with my wonderful grandsons, who are 8 and 2 years old. My task over the next 6 weeks or so will be to help them settle in. My son who has been in Singapore for the last two months will do what he can to help, but is rather caught up in his new job. Contact with mums with children of similar ages would be great, or with wives who could offer friendship to my lovely daughter-in-law would really help her to settle in. With warm regards "

Hi I go to a once-a-month ladies club which may be good for your daughter-in-law. It is run by a few expat ladies. It is very informal and is good fun. We normally go to a restaurant or bar for an evening. The group varies by age/occupation/nationality. I know there are people there in a similar situation to your daughter-in-law.
