We encourage you take a minute to post a reply to this thread with details about Thanksgiving events and gatherings for expats in your area. Or, if you know of restaurants that serve Thanksgiving dinner, please post them! This information will be particularly helpful for those expats who are spending their first Thanksgivings abroad!

If you make Thanksgiving dinner at home and have advice for others about where to find hard-to-find ingredients in your town or city, please share that as well!

This is late as well past thanksgiving but perhaps someone searching the archives will find it useful next year.
For fresh cranberries, the only place we were able to find them in November was at the Marketplace in Tangling Mall. Oddly our cold storage at west coast plaza had them for christmas....
I was on the hunt for peeled vacuum packed chestnuts. These too were at Tanglin Mall's market place. Made creamed onions from scratch. Found the pearl onions at the gourmet market in basement of Paragon shopping center. Turkeys are sold in all major supermarkets but found the Swiss Butchers had great marinated birds for sale.

Good luck with the festivities for 2011 whoever finds this message.. :)
