i am from Slovenia and i can say for sure, that this is one of the fabulous countries that i have ever seen.
here are some tips :

1. the country is so small, that you can drive all over the country in just 4 hours

2. you can see Mediterranean sea from the Alps

3. almost all people speak English or German at sea-side even Italian

4. it is cool weather over the whole year. in the winter around 3°C and in the summer around 22°C

5. here is a lot of farms, where you can sleep on the hay

6. it is worth to have a day just for Mediterranean side. there are magnificent caves in Postojna or in Škocijan

7. the value is euro

8. 56% of land is covered by forests

9. most popular places here are: Bled, Ljubljana, Postojna, Bohinj, Ptuj, Pohorje

10. the main religion is Catholic
