" I am considering to buy a house in/near Cape town and retire in South Africa. Any hints regarding the best way of obtaining a mortgagethrough a holding, since interests in south Africa are 15-25% p.a. How best do I obtain a residence permit? N Peter find.me@bigfoot.com "

I would strongly advise you not to want to retire in Cape Town at the moment. The crime rate is very bad there and is only going to get worse. I would wait and see what happens if I were you!

" Too late Rene, I moved to Cape town. And have no regrets at all! In fact, I can highly recommend it. Peter "
