I'm planning to move to Durban from the UK later in year, my partner is South African.

Wondering if there are any expats out there, any meets or info for helping with the homesickness, or just any other expats who can give me some tips etc.

Hi, if you're moving to Durban I'm sure that you will find it great, that is if your partner is a nice and outgoing person. There is so much to do here and it is really a cosmopolitan seaside city, but please stick to the unwritten rules of visiting an african country, always be aware of your surroundings and don't wander off the unbeaten tracks. Try not to wear visible jewellry and purses etc;. There are many places to meet people and make friends.
