Hi there

I am starting a 1 year course in South Africa in Septmeber and need advice on my visa application.

I am applying for a study visa but need to provide a medical report. Can anyone tell me what type of medical report this has to be or what it shows?

also i have to get medical insurance that is recognised in SA. But how do I know what is recognised in SA?

Any help would be great

Thanks

Eve

Hi

The medical report will need to be completed on an official Home Affairs form. The actual examination can be completed by your local GP.

Regarding the medical insurance, the legal requirement is "South African medical aid". In reality many expats are using their medical aid and ensuring that it covers them when they come to South Africa.
