" I am in the early phases of negotiating a move with my company to Barcelona. They want me to consider a local hire vs. expat. type of deal, which many people tell me I should avoid. I want to better understand the points I should consider when negotiating as well as the cost of living vs. Port land, OR USA. I am already in the process of finding a CPA that understands international taxation, etc. Any personal tips or helpful websites would be most appreciated. Thanks "

" There are 3 major issues on ALLIED or UNITED VAN LINES vs. doing a local mover. 1-pilferage of items 2-time to organize the connections 3-insurance, i.e., who broke it? Packer, mover, land transporter, unpacker. I have not yet decided which way to go. Since all the costs are mine (not a company move)I am really looking hard. "
