Moving Family to Seville

We are considering moving our family (two children 9yrs & 12 mo) to Seville. We have never lived overseas and do not speak Spanish. (My husband will have assistance for business) We are concerned about finding english speaking schools, an American network, affordable but nice housing, cost of living, etc. In general, we need guidance as to what to expect. Thank you!

Hola Shelley!
What a big move you and your family are making....congratulations!

I lived in Seville for several months in college and after...and my husband is from there so we go back annually. We also plan on moving back there someday.

I have only good things to say about Seville! But in order to help you best, let me know if there is anything specific you are wondering about. In terms of real estate, are you looking for an apartment or a house? I suggest you rent until you get to know the city and decide where you want to live...then look into buying something.

In terms of American networks, there are a good percentage of Americans living in Seville, mostly students, but some expats as well. I know there is an American Women's Club with a branch in Seville. I'll look for the contact info and post it for you if I find it.

If you'd like to email me to talk further about Seville, feel free. I have LOTS of info! You can reach me at [email protected]

I would be interested to know what line of business your husband is in that the company is relocating him to Seville! How fantastic!

Suerte! (That's spanish for Good Luck!)

Sarita :)
