I suggest you contact your country's consulate. And see if they can help you out issuing you some kind of "Single Status Certificate" or Single Status Affidavit. If you're a US citizen go to www.apostille.us/documents for additional information. Good luck.

I realize that this may not apply in your particular situation, but if you are madly in love with a Spanish woman, why don't you just get married? If there is a reason that you cannot be married in Spain, then get married in another country.

Well..from what I've read, in the case of saudi citizens it's doable but it's a lengthy process to get an approval. But on the other hand I'm sure you understand the difference from a legal stand point between "union de hecho" (pareja de hecho) and marriage. even though in both cases you have to prove that you're not married to somebody else. Because now you're saying so you can marry foreigners.

I appreciate you can understand my total point, and yes i know all differences between pareja and marriage, pareja is much easier and faster. I dont know maybe i can get paper from civil registery as background or (bio) state most important points on me, but the problem is i have to make it officially stamped from minister of ex, embassy, chmaber of commerce , until now i think this is my last hope. And if they refuse....

From what I've read, in Spain "union de hecho" and marriage require proof of being single. And of course that makes sense because it would be easy for a married man or woman to marry again outside their own country while still being married. And as far as I know that is not a requirement in latin america. You could get married and then register your marriage at the spanish consulate in the country.

agra, I don't know if the pareja de hecho is a law only in Spain, or if it is in other EU countries. Regardless, there are many countries around the world where you do not have to certify that you are single in order to be married there. Have you checked the laws in other EU countries? Most Latin American countries do not have that requirement. Mexico is a famous wedding destination, not only for the beauty of the mountains and beaches, but because marriage is a very simple, straight forward, inexpensive procedure. I'm not aware of any country that will not accept a Mexican marriage certificate. You might want to check out other Latin American countries, and even the Caribbean island nations. Buena Suerte!

agra, You have been focused on the "pareja de hecho", and it's making you crazy. Now, just assume that you and your lady were on vacation in Mexico or the Caribbean, and decided to get married while you were there. What is the law in Spain about registering your marriage once you get back to Spain? That's what you need to know. I know nothing about marriage laws in Spain or any other EU country, so you need to do that bit of research. Change your perspective just a little. Instead of focusing on the difficulties of getting a certificate to prove you have never been married, start thinking "outside the box" about how you two can be married somewhere else, then go back to Spain to live.

You really dont have any idea how you make me happy, you are right i can go abroad and marry and return to register it in the (civil register), but im not sure i will keep searching until i find everything its possible and marriages in latin countries are accepted i did little digging but not enough i have re-plan again everything and see in bigger perspective, thats the problem they dont let us contact too much with foreigners so everything basically new to me, i feel better want tell you something funny, do you know what was thinking of when i thought all is over. I just said want settle there illegally like mexicans everwhere lol
I want THANK all of you again cuz you really dont realize how this important for me god bless all of you
