Fireworks

We spent 6 mos, from Nov - April, in Antigua, Guatemala and absolutely love Guatemala!!! BUT...we travel with a service dog and this year the large fireworks were almost daily and non stop. Nothing we or the vets could do helped as he could feel the air pressure change. Anyone know anywhere, with similar weather, where the fireworks are not a daily occurrence? Any help will be most appreciated! Kitaniga

4343novakim, so sorry your poor dog had to be subjected to "celebrations". I think pretty much anywhere in Latin America you will find the same thing, so Europe might be your best bet. I'm currently in Ecuador, and there is no regulation of fireworks here as there is in the US. Some are so big they're like mortar rounds, and some rattle the windows like bombs or cannon fire. It can be quite disconcerting for us humans, so I can imagine how it upsets the keen, delicate hearing of a dog. Hope you find a place that's comfortable for you and your dog!
